I wish I could give this place 5 stars as it’s my favorite bar in town, drinks are great, and staff is friendly. However I had a very humiliating experience a couple nights ago with one of your bar tenders. Apparently prior to me getting there they busted a couple minors with a fake ID. I am a 21 year old adult who comes to this bar weekly. I’ve been coming weekly for 7 months now. Every single bar tender at this location has served me more than once. unfortunately I did not get a name, but one of them took my ID to scan it, and it wasn’t scanning. He then proceeded to explain to me that because my Id wasn’t scanning he refused to serve me . I told him I understood where he was coming from but that my ID is a Florida Learners permit, hence the trouble and that if he could try again because I’ve ran into the same issue in the past. He then got hostile and accused me of lying, proceeded to stick his finger in my face, and humiliate me in front of a crowd of people. He threatened to call the cops and his manager. in which I responded it wasn’t necessary because it was my friends birthday and I wasn’t trying to to ruin the night. I proceeded to tell him that I was more upset at the way he handled things and that he will hear from me sometime again. The same bartender has scanned and served me multiple times! His behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional. I hope I get a response in regard to this altercation because I’ve been a local at this bar for too long to be treated with...
Read moreThey do not allow dogs, even outside because of something to do with their parent company- Paddy Wagons, there are no posted signs and the only explanation is "something happened sometime one day" this day and age, seriously? Shame because the bartenders are AWESOME, but when every place in UTC is dog friendly, but you, not even outside? Why we don't go to Paddy Wagons either... I have edited my review from 2 stars based on the service and experience at Linksters, but I will NOT give the 5 star it deserves until I see a sign posted as to your no dogs policy. A sign would have gone a long way towards sparing us and your bartender the embarrassment of being asked to leave the entire property if we had known they weren't welcome in the 1st place. The majority of outside seating is dog friendly, so we had no reason to expect any difference. Let me know when this is remedied at all your locations, and I will happily edit my review AND comments. Edited: it's a fun place with GREAT bartenders and pool tables next to a restaurant in a busy plaza. I edited my review because now they have posted that no dogs allowed even in outdoor seating, so you won't be embarrassed by being asked to leave with your fur buddy. No dog...
Read moreI'm a craft beer guy. Don't want 'TV beer' (beer that sells strictly on a heavy advertising budget during sporting events) and rarely go for mixed drinks and never wine. But, I had an hour to kill before picking someone up nearby so it sounded like a good idea to hang here. I was wrong. The place is scary loud. The music is too loud so the conversations have to go louder to be heard. There's a line of 48" TVs over the bar with numerous sporting events showing. There is a pool table and some video games. Several bartenders are quick to help but don't ask for a beer menu because there isn't one. Apparently, you're expected to know what they have. After several questions to ascertain what they did have - numerous taps are effectively unlabeled except by brewery - a can of a decent brown ale was found, poured and paid for. Seating is mostly outdoors aside from the bar & 3 tables. Smoking is allowed outside but with the doors and windows open, it's inside too. (Glad I took my allergy meds this morning.) So, in summation, a slightly higher class sports bar is what you get here and likely at all their other locations....
