So my girlfriend and I stopped in for a quick bite for lunch, which ended up taking over an hour and a half. When we arrived no one was at the hostess stand to greet us multiplie workers walked passed saying nothing the hostess (which we learned were the hosts) looked at us multiple times from across the restaurant and never came up till 5 minutes later. Sat us by the bar, I have high anxiety and all the talking and commotion around the bar freaks me out. So we kindly went back up after sitting for a few and not being greeted by anyone and the older women with white hair and glasses was very rude regarding it and took us to a new table and said âis this good enoughâ and walked away. I went to the restroom and came back my girlfriend had ordered drinks and they were brought out in good time. But then we had to sit there and wait and wait for our waitress (I didnât catch the name since I was in the restroom but my girlfriend informed she didnât even say her name when she came to the table) just to place our lunch order. Then the food took 30 minutes for a restaurant that wasnât busy, we barely ever saw our server, she checked on us once when we got our food and mine was extremely undercooked but at that point we had to get going for work. She had walked passed us multiple times and saw my girlfriends cup empty never gave refills nor stopped for us to ask. The food runner/expo was slamming our plates on the table. And just the icing on the cake. On the menu itâs says the up charges to add on a soup or salad with your meal and I picked a soup while my girlfriend picked a salad my soup was charged full price and when I tried asking my server about it she was very rude and said during lunch there are no add on salad or soup itâs just one side and an up charge if you pick salad soup or a a premium side she said my girlfriend was charged the full price for the Mac and cheese and Ceaser salad but then when I pointed on the bill showing she was charged add on salad and I was being charged full price soup. Itâs not a big cost itâs just the factor she contradicted herself, and then went back stumbling over words just making it so I was wrong and the extra 3 dollars stayed on the bill, was very argumentative for the factor I am the customer trying to figure out why Iâm being charged this and before my girlfriend and I weâre done speaking with her she just stormed off. Didnât even bring a manager to explain anything or bring over the menu to explain and show what she was saying. And just something odd, my girlfriend goes to longhorn often and typically when the server realizes sheâs looking for a bigger steak they offer the dinner options. This waitress was so short and rude the whole time we could barely ask anything or order anything. And anytime I spoke to her she was snippy towards me is the best way to explain.
Very terrible experience and honestly sad to see. Iâve worked in a restaurant for 5+ years in multiple positions from family to corporate owned and this was a sad excuse of a...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing food!!!! The steak was on point and so was all the other food. So why the 2 star review you ask? Service. Absolutely horrible. We waited at the door for 10 minutes (arrived at 3 pm late lunch/early dinner) and then was seated. The place did not appear that busy. We waited and waited and then waited some more (15 minutes or more) for our waitress to ask what we would like to drink and since we were ready to order we did so at that time as well. At which time I told her we would be placing an order to go when we received our food. We were brought our drinks at which time she dumped 2 alcoholic beverages all over our table and nearly on us. Apologies and says good thing you were sitting so far back in the booth. I was ready to leave however we had already ordered and my husband was hungry so we stayed. We were brought our appetizer by kitchen staff and our bread by our waitress who didn't say one word to us when doing so. 5 minutes later I'm waiving down another server to ask for more drinks and straws. A kitchen staff member tried to bring us someone else's food, sorry not ours. Then our food comes out by our server and she asks if we need sauce we ask for A1. Then I speak up as she is turning away and say I need to place that to go order now. Placed that and off she goes to get the A1. I see her walk back by twice and then the third time here comes the sauce. Like I said food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS đ!!!! My props to the Chefs in the back because it was on point. We finish up and ask for a box. When received she is explaining to me which end is up and we didn't even realize she took our half eaten appetizer rather than the empty plate sitting on the table. I had to at least bring it to her attention. When doing so she seemed to get a little huffy and said I will just bring you another. At that point we were ready to go and I simply stated no need, we just need the check and were do we pay. In a little more of a huffy voice she says right here and points to the table with both hands. We give her the card and when she comes back she, again with the huffy attitude very roughly puts the card and receipts on the table looks me dead in the eyes and says have a VERY blessed rest of your day. I responded you as well as she walked off, got up walked around the corner and asked the bartender to call the manager. I explained it to the manager and he said he would have a chat with her. He said he wished we would have said something prior so he could comp our meal, but it wasn't about that. We were trying to give her every opportunity to redeem herself with her poor service but it just didn't happen. I typically over tip my server by at least 10 bucks because I know how hard that job is. Needless to say she received nothing and I sincerely hope it is a lesson learned. You simply do not treat Patrons the way we were treated when we very patiently gave her every opportunityto correct her mistakes. I would suggest take out. At least the food is...
Read moreI usually don't frequent this longhorn. I am explaining my most recent visit of a week ago.
There wasn't a wait when I entered and it was around 5pm. I got seated right away, I had asked to sit closer to the entrance and they made the accommodation very nicely. Our serve was very attentive at the beginning. Mind you, she had to pick up the table since no one was in the section I had requested.
As I waited for my party, she had taken my drink order and it arrived promptly. Finally my party arrives and we all sit down and have a look at the menu. Everyone already knew what they wanted and so we order. This is where the good to bad happens. We waited an unusually long time for our salads to come out. And then the delicious honey wheat bread came to the table at the same time. After we had enjoyed our leafy greens with a bunch of dressing, we had waited on our main course. This part took the longest. Longest I have had to wait at a longhorn steakhouse. Our party make a few jokes about they are raising our cattle for the steaks and such. About 20 minute later, our good arrives. Sigh, from Bad to gross. While everyone digs in and enjoys their food, my mouth is ready to tear into this gorgeous piece of steak and low and behold, what catches my eye. A nasty piece of what looked to be hair. And it was, and I first thought of a nether regions part of hair since it was very short and had a slight curl. I couldn't even begin to look at that steak as beautifully anymore. While waiting for our server to get to our table, I watched everyone else eat their delicious food. After what it seemed like eternity, she came back and I told her, there was this hair in my steak. So she rushed back to get me a new one. After a bit, it had came out, and I tried the first piece, it was very salty. I almost sent it back, until my party tried it and they said it was fine. I tried another piece and it wasnt as bad as the first. Weird.
One of my party guests ordered their steak medium rare, as I did mine. Both of ours came out medium. However, we were hungry and wanted to enjoy our meal and thats what we did. When the check arrived, we got a little surprise and our server was nice enough to bring us a complimentary piece of banana cream pie since it was someone"s birthday celebration. But that didn't really excuse the grossness of what I saw.
Either way, this time, I really wasn't too thrilled about this location. The server was very nice and accommodating. But the steaks were cooked not too our original orders. For a Wednesday, it shouldn't have been that crazy but it was and we...
