I went in July 4, 2024 and purchased six dining room chairs and three bar stools. I was informed they were in stock and could be delivered on July 6, 2024. Delivery day was the most outrageous event I have ever witness. The team showed up with three barstools one damaged and two bar stools not assembled properly (screws missing from the legs). The delivery guys took parts from the damaged chair to salvage the other two barstools. I was then told by customer service the six dining room chairs I ordered were on back order and that I should’ve been notified by the sales rep., to say I was outraged is an understatement. I had a Business dinner party planned for Sunday and no chairs for my guests, as I just moved into a newly constructed home. I called the store an requested to speak to a manager and the customer service rep told me the managers were all busy and would get back to me. Still waiting!! They scheduled the remaining items for delivery upon my return from my business travel. I have several issues with this company the sales rep states the items are in stock, the customer service department stated the chairs are back ordered and me as the customer do not have my chairs as agreed upon so it appears the customer service department is being honest and the sales team is out to make a sale. This is absolutely outrageous business behavior!! I don’t blame the delivery team, or the customer service department but I expect more from the District manager and cooperate ownership. I should’ve been given the opportunity to decide if I wanted to go elsewhere to purchase my furniture with it not being available as promised. This is the only location of Ashley y that I have ever had an issue. Again if my dining room chairs are in stock why don’t I have them, and why do I have to rent chairs for my dinner party?? Bottom line is I will never do business with them again nor will i recommend anyone to do business at this location of Ashley!! I will say the delivery team went above their normal duties to fix the two usable bar stools. Very Disappointed!!!
Update: I have had the opportunity to speak with two of the upper management executives at Ashley furniture. We spoke about the quality control issues with the furniture that was delivered, the misleading information regarding availability of furniture by the sales associate and the response by local employee/manager in the store. Read moreAt the end of August we purchased a reclining sofa Thru Ashley home store/ City furniture. And purchased the extended warranty. It was delivered at the end of September. Within a month we saw that on one reclining side, the seat was drooping. We called our salesperson (who has been great and helpful) and advised us to go online and make a claim. We did and long story short, it took nearly another month for the 'tech' to come and investigate it. He stood there, agreed with us that it was faulty on that side, told us exactly what was wrong and what parts he'd recommend to repair it and he definitely could fix it. He said it would be up to the warranty dept to agree to the repair or to replace it & we should hear within 24-48 hrs. We got NO call from customer service and after patiently waiting 4 more weeks to hear something, we called, waited on hold for a very long time and when we finally got to speak to someone, we're told that they didn't reach out because the tech wrote in the report that it was 'normal wear and tear!!!' They finally reached the tech days later & he told them he was standing by his report!! We were basically lied to by the tech as to what would happen and still have a sofa that is sagging on one side. I asked that they send another tech and was told we'd have to submit a new claim and got Thru this whole process again. We are very upset and disappointed in the service given to us, especially we paid extra for the extended warranty and in reality this was an issue from the beginning. Also, as a note-- we are not heavy people with no children in the house and we didn't cause this issue. The other side looks perfectly normal. All we want is for this to be repaired or replaced. I spoke to a customer service with my issue below and was told that I was going to get a phone call on February 12 to decide what we’re gonna do with the items that I purchased that are not final sales . Looking for a callback from .customer.. service On December 14, 2023 my husband and I bought a 24 inch three-piece countertop chairs as we got the delivery on that Saturday the 24th inch were too small and I explained that to the sales person that I would need a 30 inch chair. My husband and I on Sunday returned the chairs to Ashley furniture store in Jensen. They were told that I have to take the chairs back and send them to customer service When I called customer service customer service stated that they were final sales. I explained to customer service that they were not a final sales. I paid $321 for these chairs and I want a refund they said call the store when I called the store again on the Sunday , the sales person stated yes, their final sales and you signed a disclosure stating that it was a final sale as I went back to my receipts. I did sign for what I paid for and as I looked at the disclosure there was a zigzag ~signature. I said no one stated that they were final sales they’re not on the floor with final sales sign on them. I explained to him that I will be returning the chairs to Ashley furniture and he stated you can return the chairs and you’ll just be out of chairs and your money because you’re not getting it back. Thank God we paid with a credit card And this will be handled in dispute Ashley furniture store is fraud the disclosures on receipts for customers.
