I feel very deceived that things were not disclosed at the Sleep Number store during the financing. I had a perfect credit score and could have bought the bed straight out. I am always trying to diversify my credit so the salesman said we offer 24 months' payment at zero percent. I was like great. That was the bait now the hook. I was led to believe that it was with a bank and would be similar to a car or house payment. NO..NO...NO. The "bank" is a credit card that I had no idea about. I didn't want another credit card..so I cut it up said card and did not activate it and am just going to pay directly to Synchrony Bank. NO....NO.....NO you HAVE to activate the card to access the bank. So not wanting to miss a payment I called to get another card already unhappy. Then a few weeks later I saw my credit score drop by over 50 POINTS!! WELL, they placed the whole balance of the bed on this worthless credit card that I didn't even want. guess what that does. It raises your credit utilization through the roof!! So I now have a card that I didn't want, even if I keep making the minimum payment at 0% interest still my utilization will be crazy high till I at least get it down to a decent number i.e. your credit score is going to be in shambles because you are always going to have thousands of dollars on this card eating it up. None of this was brought up. sleep number salesman said "bank", not saying the bank is a credit card bank (financial institution). I also want to say I like the bed so I didn't return it etc etc. So now I am just going to pay the bed off in full and cancel the card but it takes months and months to get that number back up. That's what pisses me off the most. Also, try to call sleep number support about the card and they throw up their hands and are like " That's between you and Synchrony Bank. I still would have bought the bed I just would have loved the transparency. I am filing with the BBB to report this bad practice. If you don't care about your credit score do it. Read moreI rarely leave reviews but I have felt SO compelled to do so for our experience we had this past weekend at Sleep Number! First, Brandon was very welcoming and thorough with introducing us to the Sleep Number world! My husband and I had our 2 young kids with us and while we thought we were prepared bringing the stroller, iPad and lots of snacks to occupy them, that plan fell awry quickly!! The 2 other female staff members did not hesitate to jump in and offer to play legos in their kiddie area in our sight in order to allow us to continue our trial experience. We finished and as my husband was filling out paperwork for purchase, I went and joined my kids and the young lady playing with them and she continued to sit with us building towers and talking to me about her family etc. for another 20 mins. She was so kind! When we were finished we offered to help clean up and they had a very thorough process for sanitizing the kids table/chairs and legos and I even had my 5 year old partake! Overall, I just wanted to commend the entire staff that took a team-effort approach in making our experience very pleasant, inviting and smooth. Felt like family! Kudos to you all- keep up...
Read moreI called this store and spoke to Dave the manger. I had just purchased the split king via chat online from his stores web site. I was told by Dan the online chat person that when delivered they would remove my old bed. When the bed arrived one week later I was then told by the delivery guy no they cannot take the bed only part of it. You see I have an adjustable bed from another company and they would only take the air mattress not the frame. So I called the store in Stuart where I got Dave on the phone and he was rude and condescending telling me you didn't buy the bed in the store you bought it online. He reiterated the companies policy of not taking another companies adjustable bed from the home. When I explained that's not what I was told online and in writing. He stated it didn't matter. This after spending more then $7000 with this company, what a disgrace.
I just got off the phone with their customer support to lodge a complaint. I was told by Merle a case manger after explaining in detail what happened that they would not even waive the delivery charge. This is bad company that is committing fraud by lying to customers.
