We moved into a new build and decided to shop at City Furniture in Stuart. Big mistake……we purchased an outdoor dining table and chairs, a bedroom set, a coffee table and entertainment center for the living room from the same salesman with free Premium Delivery……about $7k Everything was fine until the entertainment center was delivered. It is 4 pieces ….a tv stand, hutch, and 2 piers. Three of the 4 pieces arrived and were put together. The left pier was back ordered …..when the left pier was delivered, it was the wrong color (ivory instead of white) ALL OUR OTHER PIECES ARE WHITE!!!!! This is where all our issues started: We accepted the ivory pier and called Customer Service (CS) to set up an exchange which they did ….3 times!!! 3 times we were sent the wrong color. When we called the salesman in Stuart, he told us he could not do much after he made the sale…….but we was upset because he only makes his commission when delivery is complete. The Store Manager never returned our call!!!!! CS reps were nice but ineffective. When we finally got the white pier the delivery men were rude and obnoxious.They took the legs off the ivory pier and put them on the white pier, they told me to adjust the legs when I showed them the pier wobbled, and then they didn’t have the furniture joint connectors to properly connect the unit. They argued with me that they should have come with the other 3 pieces….. they didn’t. They were annoyed they had to take back the ivory pier!!! So now we had the correct color but it was wobbly, not connected, and had ivory legs. We called CS, the salesman, and the Stuart SM….only CS got back to us and sent a professional from the manufacturer a few days later to make things right. He was a nice man but didn’t have the connectors or the white legs but did fix the wobble. He told us he would be ordering the connectors……last week we received a call from CS that the connectors will be ordered and should arrive in 10 weeks!!!!!TEN WEEKS!!!!!!!! Read moreI purchased a large reclining sectional from City Furniture for our new home. We moved in, in November and by January we were having problems. One of the motors on the reclining quit working and another recliner was soft from day one so it wrinkles. They sent a repairman out and he said he had to order the motor so he had to zip tie the chair so it wouldn't fall backwards. As for the other recliner they said if they put more foam it would be higher than the rest of the sofa, plus the dye lot was different. They never told us that the parts were coming from China and we had to wait 12 weeks to see if they come before they would do anything else. We'll it's 12 weeks tomorrow and we haven't heard anything. I tried holding on for hours and spoke with several different people to get this resolved and all they would say was call back after the 12 weeks. I've bought lots of furniture from City but am very reluctant now. We shouldn't have to pay $4000. for a couch that's not in good working order. I even told them that we're seniors and I had hip surgery and need the recliners working. They have no compassion. So here we are waiting for them to resolve this issue and it's been 5 months since we bought it, and 3 months of that waiting. I definitely would not recommend the Rhett microfiber reclining sectional. Poor quality. When hooked together, none of them line up so looks messy from the back.
Update: I received a replacement stationary recliner today. Still very disappointed. The dye lot is definitely different, but the delivery guy took pictures that didn't show it so they said they can't see it. I'm adding photos below.
Update 5/22/23 Again this sectional is very poor quality. Another power recliner with problems and the fabric wrinkles and gets baggy as soon as you start using it. I bought the 3 year extended warranty but have had difficulty with customer service just replacing them. They're all about taking care of you so you'll purchase from them, but POOR customer service when they sell you something that is poor quality. Read moreDelivery experience is awful! My delivery window was 1-4pm. I rescheduled my afternoon to be available for your delivery window that was texted to me this morning. I was texted saying 10 minutes out at 11:45am. Then immediately the delivery driver called me and said the delivery men were at my house. I arrived at my house at 11:50. I couldn't pull into my driveway, due to the fact the truck was blocking it. Then, my furniture was stacked on top of each other in my front covered 4x8 patio and it was raining!! I just spent over $2400 on a sectional and this is how my furniture is treated. Unbelievable!! Completely disappointed. We have purchased our living room sofas, dining table and chairs and other various items from you in the past. This is just horrible. When I called to complain, they asked me "what do you want us to do?". I think I just might write a letter to the paper and post my comments on Social Media. I work for an international real estate company and my husband manages for a large air conditioning company. You might not care all that much, but we work hard for our money and $2400 for a sofa sectional is a lot of money. I am just so sad that no one in the customer service department seems to care. I just get "your comments have been noted and you have 24 hours to file a claim". I don't even know if the electric recliners work because the movers didn't bother to plug them in. Plus the wedge in the middle isn't even hooked up properly, the back of it sticks out past the rest of the sofa. I took pictures of the furniture on the patio and "finished" product, that was left unfinished. The deliver guys were out of my house by 12:15! Please note my appointment window was between 1 - 4pm. Additionally, when I was stating my concern for the furniture outside, the delivery guy said we are only the delivery men and we don't care!!!!!
