What a decline!!! No way is this location a 4-5 star facility of late nor now. NO way. Our last three visits, yes--why did we return?... kicking ourselves for doing so. Most patrons were not looking around and must have been simply "too" hungry. Who knows. Not much related to restaurant "competition" nearby (either). Our last three visits leave us surely finding alternatives (now), or simply cooking and grilling at home. The latest visit, this week... all windows smeared and disgusting... enter the front doors through smeared glass and be welcomed by several pcs of white paper trash on the floor there [where the host/hostess greet patrons] between their desk and the front doors. Too, adjacent to this front desk was a dirty push-vacc resting in the corner "greeting" all coming in those front doors likely containing small, decaying food particles. In addition, speaking of push-vaccs... when we departed our table we [then] saw, very near dining booths and one table... FIVE "floor cleaning" utensils -- maybe 4 feet from dining seats! (along with some plug-in utility items, too) - - in a shambles, loosely gobbing-up a corner wall there and disgusting; an EXTREMELY POOR in-service/patron area situation that should never exist. Simply WRONG; unacceptable for a restaurant much less any 'store' (we won't return). Once taken to our table, on the way -- we never have seen this (there) before... small pcs of trash along every 3-5 feet we walked... everywhere on the ENTIRE dining room carpeted areas... everywhere. Yes, we should have left, immediately. This, trash everywhere, small pcs but very noticable and in EVERY carpeted area ... simply an unclean environment. We cannot account for table or boothtops, the bar area, dinnerware, etc. ALSO!! we had to sweep off our own table seats because seats had crumbs strewn on them [when we were brought to the table by the host]. Yes, we should have departed. This establishment has gone WAY DOWNHILL. We ordered, we didn't eat much. The bread served was, actually, the only edible dinner fare other than a side salad (these were okay, too)... warm bread was served with cold, hard butter. Apps were, hmmmm, ?okay. Steaks were cooked slightly more raw than ordered and were VERY OVER-salted, vegetables served were over-cooked, and sweet potatoes were awful looking [and the insides strange looking] so, not eaten... too, exterior skins were served laden with (many) potato 'hairs', some 2inches long! ... with BURNT potato-skin areas. Are there any staff dedicated to quality control [working at this franchise]?!??? Plates, dinner as it was served (in appearance) - - so bad looking and unappetizing; overall, it seemed a bit of a joke that Longhorn staff actually prepared then served this food and in this way. Mgmt once told us, proudly, "this is a training facility". Gee... THIS is now how Longhorn is training staff, and management?? Seems (like too many other restaurants) a kind of "get them in, get them out" focus? In the past, we have spoken to managment, including written notes... promises of improvement from Longhorn or no responses whatsoever. Last note - portion sizes have really SHRUNK, too!! Maybe a GOOGLE review will help get the attention of ownership, management and staff? Hopefully huge improvements as to cleanliness and food quality come-about for future patrons at this location! Longhorn patrons should be provided MUCH better, and patrons ought to demand...
Read moreI rarely blast a place. Obviously my mistake for wanting mainstream.
My wife is 38 weeks pregnant and we decided we were going to have a late night date together. So we place a very small order of cheese fries and chicken bites from Longhorn in Riverview.
They tell me it's going to be 20 to 25 minutes and 40 minutes later they bring out my food. I understand restaurants are short-staffed right now and don't have the appropriate help and so I wasn't too upset about having to wait double the time. I stress to them multiple times on the phone how the fries had to be made and of course they come out completely wrong. The receipt was labeled correctly but the cooks made it incorrectly. She comes back out from taking my payment and explain to her that they're wrong and she says that we can get them remade in 10 to 15 minutes. At that point there's no reason to wait any longer. I work 12 hours today my wife's hungry and I need to get home to her. She comes back out with my car and says I'll go ahead and take the bag of food back too. That was the end of our exchange.
I call and speak to the manager Jesse who I figured would handle this appropriately. She starts off the phone call by being caring. Good start. She tells me then the next time we're in there they're going to give us an order of fries because she wants to work with us. After an hour of my time and not getting food you're going to work with us? See them proceeds to get defensive when I tell her that I'm disappointed with her offer. I'm not one for handouts I didn't need a free meal but an apology and an effort to make it right would have been nice. So now my extremely pregnant wife is having a bowl of cereal for dinner.
My recommendation is to go to the location on Lumsden because we will not step foot back in this location.
They really just told me they were too busy to do to go orders. This is...
Read moreI utilized the curbside pickup and it was a disaster! I received an email confirmation of my order; however, I did not receive a text message to include the link to check in. I called the restaurant to let them know but there was an employee coming to my window simultaneously; therefore, we disconnected the call and the lady at my window took my name. As I waited patiently, I noticed 3-4 cars pulled in after me but got their orders before me. I called the restaurant and was told my order was ready and someone will bring it out shortly. When the lady came back out, she only brought one bag and, again, it was not my order. I told her the situation and she said she had nothing with my name. She asked if I wanted her to check on it or if I wanted to come in. Well having me go in defeats the purpose of curbside pickup smh but had I not looked a mess, I would have gone in. The lady came back out, apologized and stated the food was sitting in the kitchen. I explained how this was not great customer service because now, after sitting here for 30 mins, my food is not fresh!!! She offered to have the food cooked again. I agreed and she walked off quickly not taking the food. When she came back out, she gave me an update and she asked for the food back. You would think after the inconvenience, they would comp the meal, credit back a portion, or even offer a free dessert but instead all I received was wasted time!! I arrived at 6:30p, when the food was supposed to be ready, and did not leave until after 7:30p.
Once I got home and took out the food, I noticed the gravy for the mashed potatoes was in the container with my shrimp, steak and asparagus and it spilled out; therefore, I was unable to pour it on the potatoes.
This will be my last time going...
