I use to love this place from the day they opened up until mid to end of 2024. I come to this restaurant at least 2× a week. Or used to at least. What definitely through me off, on my most recent visit once again, is the charge for tzatziki sauce. I buy a half pound of lamb meat with my gyro & no side. It costs a bit over $23.75. However, the amount of tzatziki sauce they put within the gyro is that of a normal size or what you would put inside a soft taco. When. You request more tzatziki sauce, they only put a tiny bit more & then advise you that if you want more tzatziki sauce, they are $.50 to a $1.00 for a small tiny little cup that is not even full from top to bottom. Mind you, it's a half pound of gyro meat & over $23.75 for my purchase, & they only put a little sauce & then charge you for any extra which is ridiculous, & I went from 2 day's a week to maybe now once every other week just because of the sauce issue. Now there frozen drinks, is a hit or miss especially the Pina colada is definitely a hit or miss. Now when you get your meal with fries, they barley put any seasoning on it & if you ask for extra seasoning they seem to get loud vocally with you, & have some sort of attitude with you like they don't want to give you more without an up-charge. Final, although it is nice inside when it is not packed, they always have a lot of flys. I'm not sure where they come from but they are always in the dining room & it's an issue sometimes. Also they don't seem to always have soap in the men's bathroom anymore like they use to. All & all the place is decent but would be better if your cooks will not shout all the time, & catch attitudes, & put enough tzatziki sauce in a half pound gyro without having to up charge your customers. Going to be trying a new gyro spot that is actually closer to me as this one is over 10 miles away, the new one next to me is 1.3 miles. I would love to be a continues customer, but you folks are up charging for sauces & it os not cool for the amount of money I spend & the amount...
Read moreThe worst gyro I ever had. A bunch of greasy meat crumbs not one piece of a nicely slice of lamb. It gave me the impression that they are too cheap to give customers a reasonable amount of meat. I ordered a large gyro and received greasy bits of meat wrapped in a soggy bread. I requested everything on it and got lettuce with a few bits of tomatoes. I'm really missing NYC where even the street corner vendor serves better gyros. Not to mention the great mediterranean restaurants with excellent food.. I normally do not write bad reviews however when you come home from a hard day of work and spend hard earned money I don't think it should be hard to get some slices of meat, veggie, yogurt sauce on bread. I hope the owner reads this review learn a lesson and train your staff. FYI, I am a chef and my family owned. French bakery in Brooklyn. But it does not take a professional cook to know that I received a bunch of slop that you call a gyro. I will drive 3 more miles south to 192 and get a real gyro, I 'm sure you know who your...
Read moreThis place makes the BEST Gyros I have ever tried in my life. So much so, right after eating this beautiful masterpiece of a creation, I made this review. This is my first review I have ever made in my life… that’s how good this Gyros was.
For anyone interested I got the Larger Gyro Combo (with Gyro white- sauce and hot red-sauce) with Fries and a Brist tea. 😎
The taste of the meat is so flavorful and their gyro sauce is right on! No matter if you eat it right on the spot or later on, the gyro will still taste good and not be “soggy”. The meat is also so soft and juicy and seasoned well. But most importantly THEY ARE CONSIST. I’ve bought this gyro already 3 times and it exactly the same every single time. I can’t wait to try something else from them but for now I’m still addicted to their gyros. I love this place.
P.s- ask for the gyro sauce and hot sauce. It doesn’t come with the white sauce you have...
