If I could give this location ZERO STARS I would! EXTREMELY DISHONEST & UNTRUSTWORTHY staff simply looking for commissions on sales! I went into this location on 02/27 searching for living room furniture. I had never made a purchase from a Rooms to Go showroom. I found a leather sofa and accent chairs, wood coffee table and a kids desk. The chair in the store I wanted to purchase was already sold and when the sales person searched, they had none available. He showed me and pulled up alternatives but none looked like the sofa I originally wanted. The original chair was a light grey chair with a wood base and legs (1st photo for reference). When I said I would just order the other items (not available in store the same day either) and no sofa, he brought up that the chair I originally wanted was available but in other colors. There was a white option along with another in blush. On stating the colors of the chair I immediately stated that I did not want a white or pink chair and blush sounded like a pink color. He affirmed “No, not pink! BLUSH.” Telling me that the chair was not pink blush but actually blush closer to the beige/neutral color family I showed him and matched the other items I was purchasing. He even pointed out that a more light brown-tone sofa would matched better than the grey I originally wanted with my accent chair. I asked REPEATEDLY if he was sure this wasn’t pink because I did not want a PINK leather chair. He kept reassuring me that it was in the color family I had showed him. I made the purchase and started having issues the same day. THE FIRST RED FLAG was he never asked me what type of delivery service I wanted or protection but added the most expensive delivery option and protection to all my items anyway. On reviewing my bill in the car later I noticed this and realized that I was charged for delivery and assembly. $170+ additional for Premium Delivery. I look led online to see what this is and realize none of the items besides the desk required assembly. I went back to the store and asked why I was charged for this on the items that did not require assembly as the desk was a vendor item and didn’t offer this option. They then refunded me $120+ for the assembly and placed just delivery on my order. Fast forward to my deliveries. The desk came on 03/02 with several smashed pieces that I had to request replacements. The chairs and table got delivered 03/05 and the sofa is in fact PINK. I could see it through the wrapping. I opened Judy a small hole to see it but I immediately knew I didn’t want the item because IT WAS NOT WHAT WAS DESCRIBED TO ME. The delivery persons stated that if there were any issues to contact customer service so I called to tell them I wanted to return it. They said I needed to speak with or go to the store I purchased from. I went in to the store and was told I could not return the item without an exchange and there would be fees for exchanging the item. I didn’t want any other sofa and as this was the reason the one I received was even ordered. She said again that I needed some kind of change to return the sofa. I looked around remembering a small football children’s chair that I didn’t purchase with the other items. I told the person at the customer service desk I would take that instead, she can charge whatever exchange fee and I’ll just get be returned the price difference. Then it turns into, I can’t exchange for a cheaper item or one that can’t be delivered and it has to be the same price or more and the fee will be additional. They are refusing to accept a return or exchange for less. Keep in mind that the store did not have any of these items stocked and purchased online for me for delivery at a later date. The only item they had available for me to view was the coffee table. With items ordered online and unseen their policy states that it can be returned. Read moreI would like to share my bad experience with RTG after being a customer since 2016 bought all my furniture for my new home back then( paid for ) on March 31 went back and made a purchase for a total of $4,385.99 with a deposit of $1,442.64. I was supposed to get my delivery on May 27 took off from work to be home, I recieved a call 30 minutes before the delivery from the delivery manager Chris Vazquez to let me know that my order was incomplete, therefore they would no be able to assemble my furniture it would be in boxes till a next available date but he was not able to tell me when would that be, he said to call the RTG store to find out (in a very rude way ) to what I answer to please cancel the delivery he put it on his notes. When I called RTG several times they would answer but just put me on hold without even asking what I need it, I called several times because I got tired of waiting for so long on the phone, while trying to get through the delivery truck arrived to my house, went and told them that I spoke to their delivery manager and it was canceled. Called again to RTG (placed on hold again) at this point I was fed up with the lack of customer service left my phone on the call and started driving there took me 47 minutes to get there when I arrived there was a lady at the office no customer in front of her or on the phone I stand there she didn't acknowledge me till I ask her if she could assist me, she answered and quote "what you want" I then showed her my phone and told her that I was placed on hold for 47 minutes she looked aher office phone and looked at me bother, at this time I just told her that I was there to cancel my order, I already talked to Melissa ( the only time I was lucky to get through with someone on the phone) the office manager to let her know what had happened with the delivery. At this point another lady walks in the office I am talking to the younger lady when she interrupted without introducing herself asking me whats the problem, when I started telling her that I talked to Melissa about a delivery she said i am Melissa to my surprise, I said to her oh ok you hear me talking to her and instead of introduced yourself you just stay quiet? She just looked at me bothered, I just told her to go ahead a cancel my order. She ask another girl to do it for me, this girl was somewhat polite to me I ask Melissa when I was going to have my money refunded she said they will call me and let me know, I then left but they never called I had to call to find out it was the when they told me that I could come to get my money back to my card. Also the sales man Juan Rivera Espinoza (034903) very nice when making the sale but super rude when I needed help on what was going on ( even though he gave me his cell number to call him for anything) when I reached out to him he didn't answer any of my calls, but when I called from my niece's number the he answered as soon as he knew it was me he just said to me in a rude way, that he was on his way to work cought up in traffic, that he wasn't working yet, I said ok I need help and quick explained to him he said I'll call you when i get to work. This was the same day I was placed on hold for 47 minutes I went to the store when I walked in he was in the front of the store with others co - workers just laughing, I looked at him shake my head and kept walking he did not acknowledge me or anything. My daughters where thinking of making a purchase there as well (they were with me through out the whole process) now they no longer did it we all went to other furniture store and made our purchases, RTG you have lost a whole family...
Read moreVery disappointed with my furniture purchase. So last year we decided to buy a new sectional. We shopped around and my wife liked the one at roomstogo. We were replacing our sectional due to the last one we bought the bonding was wearing off. I had planned to buy the extended plan but when we were going to order the new sectional because it wasn’t in stock the associate gave me a price with the extended plan already added in and told me I had to buy it that way. Now I knew that to be a lie but I planned on buying it anyway, she said I would have to get manager approval to take it off. So I asked her to go talk to her manager, I wanted to see what she would say. She comes back and said he will make an exception if we don’t want it but we really should get it. As I said I wanted it, I specifically told her what happened to our lest sectional and I wanted to make sure on a 2k purchase that the bonding would be covered. She told me it actually isn’t bonded but leatherette which is better made. Here is where I made my mistake, she said yes that is covered. Now I accepted her word even though I knew she was lying to me about having to buy the extended plan. My wife did not want to buy the plan but I bought it anyway. Fast forward to now. The bonding wore off and I went to put in a claim, GUESS what is not covered under the plan. Unbelievable, I will never buy at roomstogo again. I guess associates will do whatever they have to get the plans and managers will look the other way on how they keep their numbers up. I hope the commission the associate got on the plan was worth it and she was a very convincing liar. I just hope that my review helps other make an informed decision on buying at roomstogo and I hope if you do buy you don’t waste your money on the extended plan. They clearly look for ways to not honor the plan and they don’t stand behind the product they sell. The sectional was delivered in October and showed signs of the bonding coming off in November the following year, I was just lazy and didn’t call until yesterday to file a claim. There are too many other options to buy furniture, so make sure you don’t make the mistake I made. Now I have a sectional that looks like crap and will have to replace it after a year of use. I know where I won’t be going. I’m sure I will get some reply about how concerned they are but nothing will be done. They just need to reply to make it look like they are going to look in it to. But there are enough reviews to see that it is just b.s. and you don’t fix the issue of your employees lying to attach the plan. I see several other reviews with the same issue.
