I went there today, 6/28/2019, at around 10:45 in the morning. The woman working the drive-in window performed a feat of customer service I have literally never, in my entire life, experienced. I have always been a vegetarian and I have gotten used to the idea that this comes with certain inconveniences, at most food places I buy from. Sometimes there are great options on a menu, but I’d like something else, sans the meat, and that’s my choice and I just have to pay for it. I have tried different things; building my own dish is often more expensive (not to mention annoying for the wait staff), getting all self-righteous and demanding a discount is rude and embarrassing (I have tried that several times, anyway), and sticking to things that are good for my diet choices already is boring and salad filled. This lady, I kid you not, heard me order the “New Yorker, no fish” and simply, without saying anything, charged me less than the listed price. It made me feel like I was being catered to in a way I didn’t expect and hadn't before seen. I want to spend vast sums of money there, so I go new job hunting...
Read moreBest Everything Bagels in South Florida and they are in Stuart Florida . i have been buying my Bagels here since 1995 and as a Former NY'r that grew up with a local bakery per town that you knew what towns bakery to go to even if it was two towns over , Max's is well worth it . Every batch is not perfect but you can wait for the next batch if it does not meet your standards on the ones just out of the oven . they will also let you know if its a fresh batch , to let it air out on the way home . i usually buy them by the Dozen and freeze what we do not eat , they freeze well if you freeze them after 2 hours in the paper bag , using wrap for each one . to defrost , nuke it for 27 sec , cut in half , and toast with the bagel and defrost button's on your toaster . these Bagels are so good i usually pop them out with just a light...
Read moreI do like the bagels here, but a little bit of customer service here would go a long way. A new employee greeted me kindly when I came in the door, but it was too good to be true. When I asked for my 6 plus 3 free bagels ( a Wednesday special) to be sliced, he looked at his coworker to see if that was OK to slice the bagels. Ok, this is a bagel shop and slicing bagels should not be an unusual request. She answers him loudly and in a rude tone in front of me, "If they ask to have them sliced, you have to do it!" So with all this hesitation about slicing a few bagels, I responded that it was not necessary. Wish now that I would have just said never mind and walked out. I do miss Einstein Bros Bagels that used to be up the street, but in an...
