Just bought a safe at Home Depot Thursday. By the time I got it in the house by Saturday. There was no key. Understand I had a stroke not much strength anymore. Took me a day to get it.A day to get it in the house and a day to put it in position out of the box. After opening box no key. Called the store they said bring it back. I said you got to be kidding me. So I took it back. I bought a lot of stuff over the last few years from Home Depot. One of their most valued customers from what they tell me. Enough is enough though. I wonāt be back. This is why, I have a home in Florida. Thatās where I do most of my purchases with Home Depot. I bought a small lawnmower just something cheap to get the hard to get areas. We have 55 acres but itās hard to use the big mowers around the house. I put it in my Tahoe by the time I got home I was smelling gas heavily was wondering how is this possible with the new mower. Open the back pulled out the mower somebody had bought the mower put gas in it and returned it. There was even a repair ticket in the box. My question is how did it get put back on the shelf where I was able to buy it. Talk to the store manager was supposed to get a call back nothing went round and round with them for quite a while. Spent $300 on cleaning the car. Eventually had to trade the car could not get rid of the smell of gas. Thatās not all. Bought a pressure washer with warranty thousand dollars 200 and something with the warranty so about $1300 and all supposed to be the best one they carry in store. After six months a problem took it in they had to send it out they charged me $20. Then they sent it to the repair place charge me $200 by the time I got it back and it was three months later. Meantime I needed a pressure washer so I bought another one. So now I have two with these with the warrantee that supposed to cover things. As I talk to the lady today she told me I was an important customers they take care of their customers. You judge for yourself. But as I sit here writing this I have nothing but anger. There is clearly issues with Home Depot. I own their stock quite a bit actually. Iām going to be selling it. And I will not be stepping foot in their store again. And if anybody ask me I donāt like to talk bad about anybody or anything. but, enough is enough. Iām just done with them!!!!!!!!!! Went there to see about cutting some wood. Luckily Scott was there. I got my wood cut and left. Think about all the money Iāve spent there over the years. Itās just crazy they donāt really take care of you. Scott what a great guy. I hope he gets a better job at a better place with more pay. I needed an air compressor opening a new business. Went there bought it. Was upset and angry the whole time because of what it happened in the past. Ended up at tractor supply by Saturday. Found one there was $200 more. A little better compressor. The warrantee was a year or less. I bought it. Never felt so good about buying something. Went back today to Home Depot Monday got a refund. Never felt so good about spending $200 more on an item. Walked out of the store after getting the refund with a big smile on my face. I canāt believe they never called me back to try to settle anything.I used to spend $30k-$50k a year with them easily. I guess I really just donāt matter to them. I have very little of their stock left. I guess I sold so much the price of the stock is coming down. Thatās their problem not mine. By February I wonāt have any left. The funny part is I made Waymore on the stock than I ever spent in their store. I guess Iām not a loser in this story after all. But it does feel nice to know thereās other options to buy things other places. and They do appreciate my business at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBuyer beware. The worst experience ever! After several estimates for new windows we opted to go with Home Depot. The sales team answered all the questions and described the process. We knew we were paying a premium for the name and for the process and all the hands involved. We were ok because peace āš½ of mind knowing HD would back the products and install. Day one the install team arrives and could not proceed. The reason - they arenāt covered for two story projects. No worries sir we can reschedule or even have another crew arrive within an hour or two. As long as they donāt rush Iām ok with it. They RUSHED the result, uneven non square window panes literally popping out window guides cracked and offset. Trim glue not sticking and trim falling off. Mind you at the time of install I asked the inspector from Jupiter if this was ok and immediately the tech said we are not done and would make sure it was good to go. As we did walk through I mentioned the windows were not square and being offset the guys says Iām sorry I donāt see what you see. Here comes the rain⦠Will you guys come back to finish caulking the windows?? Their response we will let you know?? They did come back after the rain penetrated the gaps and with a 20 ft extension ladder on their tippy toes from the top rung barely caulked and used the caulk gun tip to spread the caulking smh. Look Iām not a window installer however I am a property owner with multiple properties and have been had a window or 50 installed in my time the most recent 3 months prior on another commercial property. Warranty⦠is only good for (1) one year for installation and product is not guaranteed if the installation is done improperly so the game here is to wait it out give you the run around and leave you with a mess on your hands. We called several times and our last and final course of action will be legal before June when the warranty expires. Total price 14k and thousands in my time tracking calling waiting. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money or time. Contractor for Home Depot; Ocean group LLc Window manufacturer PGT not what they used to be!! Consumer beware. The attorneys will take care of the rest unfortunately we didnāt want to go there but are left with no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am only giving 1 star because I cannot take stars away from this God forsaken bottom feeding nickel-dime outlet. I have shopped there since it was built & others in other towns & since the Veteran 10% discount placed, have always received the break. (which I sincerely appreciate being a Nam era draftee who made it home in 1 piece. As well as a 66 y/o retired firefighter. To wit: I went in to Stuart FL. Location a month ago to buy a step ladder, paint brushes, caulking etc. a small project on my house & couldn't afford the paint just then. As usual I received my 10 % Veteran discount. I went back this month to get my paint etc. & a cashier told me I wasn't in the military long enough (2 yrs-war time) to warrant discount. I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I showed her my Military card as well as my dog tags which are tattoo'd to my right wrist & explained I have always received it here since the offer came available only to be told to go pound sand, & I wasn't getting my $7 discount! So I called management from parking lot & told so sorry but thank you for your service! I took my business to Lowes & guess what? They honored my Vet status on the spot & asked me to fill out the proper form the next time I come in. Told me they were not surprised, heard it before. So next time you are in Stuart Home Depot & a mousy unattractive middle aged snot nosed brat with glasses tells you your military service has to be 25 years or more to get their measley little discount. Leave your products on the counter & go to Lowes.. Tara at Lowes is a true servant & customer service professional. So F-Off HD.. After total remodels on 3 homes, 1 complete custom garage with foundation, & countless small home repairs we are all done. Sorry I rep'd you as a soldier. I happen to ride with a few Military clubs & will be sure to share your posture regarding our status.. I am sure they will be happy to drop you like you've...
