It’s time for this location to be shut down. It doesn’t seem to be any hope no matter what manager/staff is hired. I lived in Carrollwood area for 4 years and they started out good but has since gone down hill bad. There’s no hope!
I was in the area yesterday and decided to drop in and I honestly wish I kept going. Placed a simple mobile order for 2 items. I arrived shortly after and when I walked in, the smell of the place was horrible!! Like who wants to eat at a restaurant that basically smells like hot garbage that’s been in the sun for days! The unkept and cleanness in the lobby and behind the counter non existing. No “Welcome to Moe’s” greeting. Get to the register to pick up order and my taco is laying on the dirty counter. The worker then proceeds to give me a bag of chips but grabs said taco and puts it on top of the chips I’m now expected to eat. Taco was cold and not at the right temperature so I asked them to remake it. Manager/shift lead instantly gets an attitude and says we just made it that’s how it comes. Cold food?! I think not. I then had a side of guacamole that was less than a scoop full. Manager/shift argued with me that’s it’s the correct size. She had a very nasty attitude from the moment we came in which is wild to me because there was no one in the place!
There was no salsa at the station and when asked was there more that could be put out was told not at the moment. It was 7p and they still had 3 hours left. The young me. That were working didn’t seem to know anything and when we left and where sitting in the car they kept coming to the window waving with silly faces. No professionalism about them at all. Read moreThis is a disappointing location. I’ve seen other reviews with the same issues I had today. Imagine if you will, you get the Moe’s app and join rewards where they offer you a free cup of queso. You order lunch and get your free queso and you see at checkout the offer of curbside pickup. No need to get out of your car, just call when you are there and they will bring it out to you. So you get in the car and drive to the store and notice there is no curbside pickup parking. No big deal. So you find close by parking and you call the store. No answer. Maybe they are busy... so you call again and again until it’s been 8 times you called the restaurant and so you are fed up and have to go in to grab your food. You open the door and there are 4 employees visible, none of them doing anything. Only 2 dine-in customers in the whole place. None of them willing to greet you like the pre covid Moe’s would. So you go to the order counter and are rudely ignored by someone with their music in their ears. You now know why no one answered the phone. This is just a job to do the bare minimum finally after being acknowledged you are told your food has been waiting on the online orders shelf for what is now 20 minutes. The food is cold and no compensation is offered. If the staff isn’t capable of preforming curbside pickup like every other restaurant is, they should remove the option from the app completely. Read moreAfter ordering at this location, I waited 15 minutes while the cashier and worker that seemed like it was their first days on Earth attempted to figure out who’s bag was who’s (out of the 3 that were sitting there). She checked the couple in front of me out, and I walked up to her and confirmed that the burrito in the bag was a vegetarian burrito, and she said yes. I paid after having to ask for my queso for a 3rd time, and left. When I arrived home after my 20 minute drive back, I discovered not only the most poorly wrapped burrito I’ve ever seen…. but upon biting into it, it was full of chicken. I got sick as I am a vegetarian and have been for 8 years. This should not have been a problem as I watched the worker make my burrito and also confirmed with the cashier. When calling the store to ask for a refund, they informed me that they could not give me one over the phone. As I previously stated, I live a 45 minute round trip from this location. The gas money is worth more than the damn burrito at that point. I asked if they could possibly send me a coupon for my next order, and was told I had to come in (only in the morning, mind you as their manager is not there nights). Never have I ever had such a bad experience with a Moes, I am seriously disappointed with their incompetent staff, lack of organization, and lack of customer service.
