We haven't had Indian food in nearly a decade so we were excited to finally take the time and try this establishment. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Their restaurant is clean and simple. Lots of Traditional Indian decor and bright colors. She took some time to inform us that all foods are cooked to a heat level 1 and you can dictate the heat level up to 10! We shared our plates so all out dishes were cooked @ #1 Heat (aka no heat)! We started off with two types of Naan bread and two appitizers: #2 Vegetable Samosa & #5 Chicken Kebab. Both were very tasty and well prepared. #2 brought a mild heat with it but came with a sweet sauce that you could did it in! The flavor popped and the heat snuck up on you after you finished the bite. It was just enough heat to make you want another bite. My Bride however felt it was too much heat. #5 was tender and flavorful and a good amount of sauce in the dish to add some extra flavor.  It was delicious! The two Naas we had was onion and garlic. The garlic was out favorite, it had plenty of flavor and was very fresh. We also ordered the an onion version. It was flavorful too but had large chunks of onion baked in. We r not a big fan of onion chunks so it did not get finished. Entrées that we ordered were #17 Shrimp Tandori, #18 Chicken Tikka Masala and #42 Lamb Korma. All the entrées came with a plate of rice and #1 Heat. # 17 - The Shrimp Tandori was very delicious and colorful flavorful but slightly dry. I would eat it with the rice and dip it in the sauce that came with the #2 appetizer or the sauce that #18 Chicken Tikka Masala came it! Both enhanced the flavor! #18 - Chicken Tikka Masala was tomato based and full of flavor. I took the sauce and combined it with some rice then eat the chicken with that. I personally would have liked at least a #3 or 4 heat! And finally #42 - Lamb Korma was the most tender of all the dishes but the least flavorful. I also eat this dish with rice mixed in its own sauce. So to recap we had 2 waters, 2 cokes, 3 Naan Bread 2 Appetizers 4 Entrées (2 #18's) Total bill was $97.68 before tip. Overall the experience was worth the trip and $$. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food and Proprietor. We will be back and try something new and with more Heat! At least for me!

The couple did seem like they were rude, not gonna lie but I’ve come to believe that they don’t understand the concept of customer service in the United States and they’re still operating at an Indian restaurant level. The food was pretty good! Garlic naan is to die for! We took Gobi “Mansoori”, chicken biriyani, garlic naan and Malai kofta. No complaints about the food. Only confusing part was, the lady asked me what’s the spice level that I’m comfortable with. I said “Indian spice”. She asked me to choose the spice level from 1-10 without giving me an idea of what’s what. I said 8 just to be safe and the food was bland. Should have gone with 10. Entre took like 10-15 mins to come and my stomach was already making noises. Main course didn’t take much time. It was right after the entre. Chai was good too, all gingery and spicy! Main complaint, didn’t offer for water at all! Cutlery seemed a bit old and the dining cloth looked dirty. I mean, how hard is it to change clothes? The owner showed me the bill when we were leaving and asked is it okay? Again, I was confused. Btw, if you arrive around 3 PM they’re not going to let you dine in. Also, you can come after 4 PM and you’ll get a table. Otherwise it’s carry out only!

“This review is not to make a ding at the business” To start with : 1 star is only because special namaste biryani was little ok in taste. This looks like a family owned business and they seem to care as less as possible. No hospitality, the man and woman both served us, were as rude as possible. Felt like they were favouring by letting us in! We specifically asked about chilli chicken being mentioned in curry section in menu, does it come with gravy, the server said that’s written clearly! We kept calm and ordered, it came as an appetizer with Naan. The server had the audacity to ask us where you come from and do you have chilli chicken with gravy there, when we refused to consume that and asked them to replace it. I wanted to give her back by saying you should first start by giving us serving spoons for the food which we never got, but kept my calm! To top it the men’s restroom had a plastic bag tied to the urinal, picture attached. The Door lock was jammed and couldn’t be locked. I really hate such restaurant services. Close it if it’s a burden rather than spoil the name. Ridiculous. I wish the health and sanitisation department visit this restaurant.

Seems like the Owner has ego issues. The other 1 star reviews you see on here are pretty accurate when explaining how rude the hostess/owner (husband/wife duo). Its pretty sad because it seems like he has a developed a reputation with this kind of behavior as all the indian locals do not attend this restaurant because of their horrible services/attitudes. We travel to Jacksonville or Orlando for way better food, ambiance, and overall better experience. You should too.

Experience Explained: My husband and his friends come often and this was my first time here. We entered, my husband walked in to use restroom while I stood by hostess area waiting for a table. A lady (owners wife) comes out and I ask for a table of 4. She looked at me like I did something wrong. She then said "where are the other 3 people?" I continued to explain that my husband is in the restroom and my friends are in the parking lot (you could see them as there were no other cars in the lot) The hostess said she cannot sit me until our entire group arrives. I looked at the restaurant and there was not a soul in there. She came around to explain why they cant sit us and her husband rudely says " I dont see 4, I only see you" and at the same time my husband walks out the restroom. The hostess sees husband walking out of restroom and immediately tells us to follow her (WHILE she was mid explaining to me that she cant seat us until the entire party has arrived) I was confused by the entire initial experience and was trying to tell my husband what happened but continued to follow the hostess to our table. The Owner (Husband) violently grabs my husbands shirt and pulls him back and refuses us service. Shouting at us to leave and get out. We left immediately and were very upset and confused as there was no explanation as to what went wrong.

(all of this happened within 3 minutes of entering the restaurant)

We left the premises and called to further gain clarification of why we were denied service. The owner told us on the phone that he kicked us out “like dogs and to remember this” as he said verbatim when inquiring what the issue was. There is a video of him saying that exactly on the phone.

Never got to try their food. Service is horrible.

If you are looking for Indian food… make the trek to Jax or Palm Coast. Don’t waste your time...

Terrible Experience - Rude Staff, Unprofessional Service. While traveling around St. Augustine, I was looking for an Indian restaurant and unfortunately, this was the only one that showed up on Google Maps. I ordered takeout for just one item – Chicken Biryani – and was told over the phone it would be ready in 30 minutes.

When I arrived, I was met by an older man, who seemed to be the manager and the cook. He was extremely rude and unwelcoming, with a clenched, irritated expression. He bluntly told me, “Food not ready, will take another 30 minutes,” and then turned his head away, completely dismissing me.

I reminded him I had ordered 30 minutes ago and that the lady on the phone had said it would be ready. His response? “Ok, it will take 30 minutes,” and he went back to his work, offering no apology or courtesy.

The entire place felt shady and unprofessional. I immediately canceled my order and he simply said, “That’s fine,” as if he couldn’t care less about losing a customer. No empathy, no apology – it was like I was doing him a favor by even considering eating there.

Fellow Indian community – if you are in St. Augustine and looking for Indian food, please avoid this place. You deserve better treatment and better food options.

This person has no place in customer service or the restaurant business. Extremely disappointing experience – avoid at all costs.

Edit (Response to Owner’s Comment): I was genuinely having a great day until I placed an order with your restaurant and ended up wasting 30 minutes dealing with someone as unapologetic and rude as you. Your behavior was completely uncalled for—if customer service frustrates you this much, perhaps you shouldn’t be the one interacting with patrons. Please seek help for your anger issues. Get well soon.

To fellow customers—especially those from the Indian community—please take a moment to read the owner’s responses to other negative reviews. There’s a disturbing pattern of hostility, defensiveness, and even undertones of racism and xenophobia. This place doesn’t deserve your time or your money. Avoid...
