On our first visit 5/20/23 - We only had time for apps (fried shrimp and crab cakes) and drinks but worth it! Try the blue colada - it’s delish. Also happy hour is every day from 12-6pm and great deals on these! We loved the shrimp appetizer, but not so much for the crab cakes (we think they can improve on these - taste too much like cheap boxed crab cakes/grease overpowered flavors). We’re headed back for lunch today to give the boils a try. 5/21/23- We went back for lunch and omg!!! Flavortown! Best boil that we’ve had in this area!!!! (My husband is from Southern Louisiana and is super picky on seasoning and boils and was impressed). We spent $100 for lunch with 2 lbs of snow crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lbs of sausage, potatoes and corn and 2 cocktails (really awesome Blue Hawaii and Mojito) - we did the boil in their house blend sauce with hot heat - do this! You won’t be sorry! …And will thank me later. Their house sauce blend is a combination of all the flavors they offer mixed as one so it seems to have the best of everything! The 1 lb of crab in the photos wasn’t enough since it tasted so good - so we ordered another 1 lb of crab later if this says anything about how good it was. We ate 5 hours ago and probably won’t eat again today - it was so satisfying and filling. This isn’t a meal we would do every day, but so delicious and worth every cent when we want a truly great boil. Service is also good, prompt, polite. Restaurant is kept really clean which we can really appreciate since it is a very messy meal when you do the boil. Restaurant is quiet during the day, everything is on point...
Read moreWent here for Father's Day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. No complaints whatsoever.
We started off with the hushpuppy appetizer, served with a homemade yum-yum sauce that complemented them perfectly.
We all opted for the combo boils with snow crab legs. Three of us had the lobster tail and shrimp, one had extra snow crab, and I also added in the sausage.
You can select the type of sauce you want. I went with the house which combines lemon, garlic, and butter. You also select the degree of hotness (spiciness) and I went with something very spicy. It was an absolutely perfect balance of between heat and flavor, and I loved it.
The boils aren't cheap but you do get a lot of food. The shrimp were amazing, the lobster tail tender, and the potato and corn delicious. The sausage I added on, while plentiful, were a little on the salty side and I did not eat all of them as a result. I would not add these on again. Saltiness aside, they were tasty.
You get plastic bibs and all the cracking tools to help you on your crab extraction journey.
I'm looking forward to going back or even trying a take out. The dishes are served contained in a plastic bag so I imagine it would be easy to take home. The flavors and generous portions really make this a stand-out go-to for boils and crab legs.
Be aware they also have king crab legs at market pricing, in case you really want to splurge. There are also other dishes if you aren't in a boil mood, such as fried fish and oysters, scallops, steamed rice, and...
Read moreAfter almost 3 months I decided to give this place a second chance. There has been definitely some improvements, our waitress did a good job and the food was better. (Still room to improve). Prices are still the same. I have raised my rating from 1 star to 3 stars.
REVIEW FROM 3 Months ago
Absolutely Overpriced.
Long time waiting for a new restaurant to arrive to Saint Augustine only to be disappointed not only with the overpriced menu items but also the quality of their serving portions as well as the taste.
I am not a person to complain when it comes to paying the bill, if the food was great tasting and the portions were if not generous at least fair, I make sure that even the waiter or waitress receives a good tip for their good service and attention, if that was the case.
But this was not the case, unfortunately the service was half decent our waitress was not attentive to our needs in our table we constantly had to flag her down to get drinks, and quite honestly the food was not that great.
Once again, in our city a new restaurant opens to target only the tourist with the intention of getting as much money as they can for their one time visit and don’t bother to think of...
