Review: I recently had the pleasure of dining at New York Pizza and Pasta on Immokalle Road and Colliery, and it was an absolute gastronomic delight. This restaurant has managed to capture the essence of authentic New York flavors and deliver them flawlessly to its customers. From the delectable Eggplant Parmigiana to the exceptional service led by Manager Anthony, my experience was nothing short of outstanding.
Let's start with the highlight of my meal: the Eggplant Parmigiana. As an avid lover of this classic Italian dish, I must say that New York Pizza and Pasta's version was the best I have ever had. Read moreVery disappointed especially ordering $170 worth of food for three people. My chicken New York which I was so excited about ended up being two breaded chicken cutlets and that was it. I am grateful that the fact that it was reordered when I called to let them know what happened however it was delivered yet again to chicken cutlets that were piping hot which again is great and everything on the side so it was cold tomatoes cold mozzarella balls and a side of balsamic glaze. I'm not sure if that is exactly how it's supposed to be created I guess in my mind I expected something different I was thinking that it was going to be melted mozzarella on top of the chicken with tomatoes and everything was going to come out hot. At least maybe someone could have prepared the instructions on how to make it look as though I actually sat down at the restaurant and ate. The mussels appetizer that I ordered we're not even lukewarm and had to be heated up in the microwave also known as chef Mike. It took a hundred and ten minutes to get my delivery which I completely understood when I ordered online it said just about 90 minutes now I live 7 minutes down the road. The lobster ravioli however it was amazing whatever the blush sauce is I enjoyed and everyone indulged in it. I shouldn't have had to heat up everything I ordered in the microwave and attempt to put it together as if I was the chef. My $20 chicken New York went to the dog because it tasted horrible with the "caprase salad" on the side I think I was supposed to put on myself. I'm sorry to complain but I really expected to be blown away as if because I ordered Togo it should be exactly the same as if I were sitting at a table in the restaurant. Maybe I misread the order details and it said we will cook it all just reheat and put everything together yourself...
Read moreMy husband and I were on our Saturdate and we were hungry...we initially were going to eat at the Chinese buffet place next to NYPP but we saw how jumpin it was and how the place next door looked chincey, so we gave this place a shot...it was our 1st time and it was FANTASTICAL!! From Joe to Eli to Chef Dave Durante to Vino we were treated exceptionally well! We ordered Pizza made with our own toppings and they made it to order and it was mouthwatering delicious we also had the garlic knots and our desert was the classic tiramisu, Chef came out and brought us our olive oil to the table and while there was a small mistake with one of our orders because our food and service was through the roof that was but a blip on radar no biggie!! Chef took the time to tell us his education as well as the history and future of NYPP and what an amazing story...these are hard working folks and it shows!! Our server Eli was a dear and for being there only a week she did really great! We even had a special request and they accommodated! Prices were decent and there wasn't a covid charge they do check your temp and they were covid compliant...also their outdoor seating had heaters for right now as its winter! I will add something here that completely blew me away and really impressed me...we were leaving wanted to tell Joe thank you and he was on phone with his wife...and so we were just gonna say thank you and leave and Joe turned his phone around and introduced us to his wife who was in NY!! Who does that?! To us that spoke volumes as to what kind of folks these are, to invite us perfect strangers into a private conversation...so all in all we met wonderful people, ate great food, andlearned wonderful history of a great family and their business...what abgreat way to end a...
