Worst restaurant service experience of my life! We tried this place for the first time today for brunch. At first we were excited to try a new place with a sweet colorful outdoor dining space and live music. We ordered our food and waited while listening to the music, very excited to find this sweet hole-in-the wall place in the middle of Fort Walton Beach. While waiting for our food we chatted about how we would tell our friends and family about our great find. Well our order came and it was served to the table next to us instead (who arrived after we did). The gentleman at that table said “we must have ordered the same thing because I also ordered the omelet but with no onions, and this one has onions and we didn’t even order these tator tots.” He had already taken a bite of the omelet, but they were ever so kind to hand over our order of tots while we waited. The servers deliberated over the order next to the other table, and then walked away, with no apology for switching the orders, or what they were going to do to remedy the situation. As our drinks ran dry with no reprieve from our server for refills, we waited patiently for an additional 45 minutes before someone came to ask us if we needed anything. We asked that they check on our order, which was not even in que to remake. We then waited another 30 minutes for our order to come from another waitress to find that it didn’t have the brisket in it that we originally ordered! We flagged down our original waitress and complained that our order was wrong again and kindly asked for the check. She seemed to be in shock like she had no idea what had conspired with the orders, because she had not come to our table to serve us or ask if we needed anything almost the entire time we were there! They brought us the check and had the audacity to charge us for the food order that they had clearly screwed up. We didn’t even eat. We couldn’t believe how bad the service was at this place. I have never had an experience as bad as I have at this restaurant. This is the only negative review I have ever written, at any place I have gone to. I am In shock at the terrible service we received here! I will never recommend this place to anyone I know and will highly recommend that no one go here unless they want...

I wanted this place to be my new haunt. And they had the makings for it. Which is why I went back 4-5 times. Always sitting at the bar.

The first time I went I ordered the fillet medium rare. It came back well done. I was hungry and didn’t feel like making a fuss for an honest mistake, and the steak was still really tasty despite being very over cooked. I always like to try out the steaks of a place, having served tables at a steakhouse for years while in college. The fillet being my go-to cut.

I went back a few more times ordering other items off the menu. Which were also tasty. Then the last time I went back I ordered the fillet again. It came back overcooked again. This time I politely sent it back asking for it to be cooked properly.

When it came back, the steak they gave me was cooked properly, medium rare. However, and I know this is a common trick places like to use, they sent me a sirloin in replacement of my fillet. A cheaper, much tougher cut of meat than what I ordered or paid for. But to the eye, looks very similar.

It’s also difficult to prove it’s not the right cut of meat, so you’d have to feel like fighting with the manager. Because it was the manager who took my order back to the kitchen and brought my new steak back to me. So it was obvious that he was at the very least, knew about the decision to cheat a customer, and at most is the one who told and approved the kitchen to do it.

So I took 2 bites, finished my drink, tipped the bartender well, paid for my food and left. I’m really, really disappointed, and they’ve lost a local who would have been very loyal and always tips well, having been a part of the Okaloosa county service industry myself for years.

The bartenders pour wonderful drinks, are friendly and work hard and efficiently. Absolutely on point. The music is wonderful, and the atmosphere relaxing.

But to the shady manager, don’t treat your locals like they’re tourists.

And don’t order the steak if you like them on...

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a bit as some time has passed but I didn’t want to neglect to share. My friends and I use to visit this restaurant every friday for weeks in a row until we had one extremely unpleasant waitress and haven’t been back. Our waitress was short with us and rude from start to finish as if we were inconveniencing her. At first we thought maybe it was dry humor and then realized she is just rude. We typically stayed to drink and hang out for a while but this time when we were finished with our food she TOLD us she’d bring our checks and were closing out because she has to give our ticket to her manager before leaving and she wants to go home. (mind you this place is open til 12am and it was not yet even 10). We still had half a pitcher to drink and we’re obviously not ready to go. We asked if we could just move sections to continue our night and she ignored the question and returned with checks and in silence put them on the table. After the behavior we obviously left no tip. One member in our party forgot his debit card and when he came back for it was confronted by her about us not tipping and “making her stay to wait on us for no tip.” If anyone had said the section was closing soon or we needed to swap servers so somebody could leave, it would have been no problem at all but that was not communicated. In a business open so late, how else would we know someone is being cut?? Then she went so far as to track one of our members of that group down on INSTAGRAM and send her a direct message! We have a screenshot of the nasty message from Alexia our server and will never return here. Absolutely no boundaries.
