Update 2/13/2021 - I just ordered Curbside Pickup from Panera in Champions Gate, Davenport, FL, (Location# 204261). I bumped it up 1-star, but food is still way too expensive. Everything tasted fine except the fruit cup. It was awful! The fruit was tasteless and grapes were sour. I've been coming to Panera Bread for many years and always loved the fresh food, but the portions have gotten dramatically smaller and prices too high, and a lot of times they are out of basic items, like ham and cheese. But it also depends on what location you go to. Some locations give you much larger portions with much better service.
Update 8/7/2020 - I just ordered Curbside Pickup from Panera in Champions Gate, Davenport, FL, (Location# 204261). One item on the order was a "Bacon, Scrambled Egg & Tomato Wrap" for $5.59. When ordering the photo clearly displayed (2) pieces of the wrap, but I only received (1) piece about 4 1/2" in length. This was NOT acceptable for a $5.59 wrap. I was going to bring it back, but it was a 20 minute drive back to the location. I called the location and spoke with the manager and she said that was the size and price and couldn't do anything to help me. I told her that I was going to advice Panera Corporate Customer Relations of the issue. This was not acceptable answer and poor customer service.
Update 7/16/2018 - If it's all possible this location has gotten worse. I'd figure I would give them another shot an ordered egg and cheese on a plain bagel. She asked me over easy egg or scrambled. I said fried over well. She said she can't do that, only over easy, what??? Mind you, 2 people in the restaurant at the time. I said scrambled them but well done scrambled. She said we do scrambled only one way, what??? Seriously? Every other Panera I've been to they were able to do my eggs any way I wanted. Poor excuse for customer service, and this was the supervisor. Even MacDonald's or Burger King would make your sandwich they way you wanted to. And this place is so expensive as well. I've given them too many chances, I'm going to Winter Haven or Kissimmee location from now on.
I love Panera, I typically go to Kissimmee, Celebration and Winter Haven Locations, but this location I don't like interior design, music is horrible, very pricy. Can't warm up to this location. I was really looking forward to it opening because it is close to my house. I went for lunch today and it cost me $15 for a sandwich, drink and cookie !!! Tasty,...
Read moreUpdate: I know make my own coffee at Panera but they don’t keep the large cups in front so I have to wait for someone to give me one. The manager always tells me I can just get one at the ordering kiosk and I constantly have to answer that they are regulars only. Every. Single. Time. Today I went to the pickup shelf where the tablet tells you to go and watched as an employee printed up my order and I told her that I just needed the cup. She ignored me, threw the ticket away and deleted the order right in front of me as I watched the digital display say my order was ready and then vanished off of the board. The front was finally empty so I asked the girl at the register saying that they’re ignoring me over there which just got a response of silence.
Welcome to what may be the worse panera bread out of all of them. I have given them chance after chance to be constantly disappointed. I have been trying their subscription again since they offered another free month. Free you say, why complain. Well in the beginning it was pretty good, although my iced coffee often lacked, ice. I’d get my coffee with half and half and syrup. Today they were out of iced coffee at 2pm so I got hot coffee needing the caffeine. The manager came out telling me that half and half, cream, syrup, flavoring, all of that is extra. I told her that it’s never been and there is no place when you order to ask that hence no place to be charged for it. Also that before the pandemic all of that was set by the coffee station for customers to help themselves with, which she denied saying she had been working there for a year. So with that said she just handed me a cup of black coffee. Supposedly that’s all you get in your subscription a black cup of coffee with no add-ons since they can’t charge you for it, you won’t get them. I confirmed with the store in celebration that the manger was wrong and that she should have included the half and half and syrup. I was given a corporate number since they are closed on the weekends and told the DM would...
Read morePanera continues to be a Rip-Off. My wife and I are not ones for fast food, but in the event that we have to stop while traveling, we'd always make a point of finding a Panera Bread. Even knowing from our past experience from with Panera , they are not one to be generous when it comes to the amount of meat they put on their sandwiches, I was not prepared for the lack of meat on our sandwiches when we stopped at this location on our way to Disney Friday night May 10th. My $11 Steak and Arugula Sandwich and three thin slices of steak. I just wish I had thought to take a picture as proof, and taken the sandwiches back but we were starving, it was late we were and in a rush to check in at Disney. My wife's Frontaga chick was even worse. It had one piece of meat and a very small one at that. I weight out or chicken for our daily lunch sandwiches and I know what 2 oz of meat looks like. Theses weren't even close. People complain about Disney's food prices. Ha. We had grilled paninis at the Beach Club Saturday night for around $8 and they had at least 3 times the meat. Service at Panera was great, and the bread, cheese and sauce sandwiches were very tasting as were the baked goods. But the lack of meat is on the sandwiches is a total rip off. Not sure if this is a company wide policy or just the way the owner of this franchise choses to pad is own pocket, but my advice is to open your sandwich before you eat it and it looks like your being robbed, tell...
