Had dinner with friends on the outdoor area. Great setup for watching the game, plenty of screens. The three of us shared the Poutine with beef brisket. It was delicious, the brisket was tender and not fatty. For my main I had the 4 Corners Stack, with pulled pork. The pork was perfectly cooked, I came to find out that they smoke all of their meats in house daily. The flavors shined through depicting a lot of love and care has been paid to the in house smoking. The mash were smooth and not over buttered and the Onion rings were crispy, hot and obviously deep fried in fresh, clean oil. My friend had the blackened Ahi which he usually gets when he comes here. I noticed the fish was perfectly seared rare and was riding on a fresh bed of spring greens. My other companion went with a handheld, Brisket French dip. It too perfectly landed as a cornerstone for tavern food. Whatever you choose from this homey menu would probably be delicious. I can't wait to return someday, because there is a lot offered and they really seem to care about what comes out of the kitchen.
My next point is actually what inspired me to review this spot has everything to do with the service. All of our drinks, and food arrived on time. The owner in fact delivered one of our entrees and made sure that we were comfortable and welcomed. The family vibe really came through and I noticed throughout our visit, the head honcho was sure to touch every table. I'm assuming, because I am familiar with the area, that the owner /operators are expat Brits and they obviously have borrowed the concept of a local Pub or tavern from back across the pond. I've been to a few in the old country and this is what it is app about. I didn't see a dart board but it surely would be at home here. The decor and general vibe of this place surely drives locals in and visitors on long holidays in the area, would surely be able to cure any homesickness by patronizing this establishment. I'm sure the cricket or football would be on the telly when broadcast. Great place to unwind and catch NFL or baseball for sure.
Our server/bartender Caprice was the star of the show. Probably the friendliest and properly attentive service I've had in a while. I had left my takeout box up on leaving, but before I got in the car, this rockstar came charging across the parking lot to hand me my forgotten leftovers. In fact the effort demanded that I return later for a nightcap. Caprice made me the most fantastic Woodford Old Fashion perfectly executed as the classic, balanced cocktail, nice and clean, none of that muddled blasphemous orange and cherry b.s. Is probably hanging here more often if it was closer to home. Is have more pictures of the aforementioned items, but it was all so good, I just had to get it in muh belly without delay.
I'm going to be visiting my friends who live in the area more often, because I need an excuse to come here again. The entire team at 4 Corners Tavern nailed...
Read moreI flew out to Orlando to join my daughter & her family at Disneyworld in early December. They rented this amazing 8 bedroom house (with TWO game rooms!)... anyway, we found the 4 Corners Tavern just down the street and it looked at first as if they couldn't accommodate nine of us at one table, it's more of a bar & grill, not where we we'd usually go, since my daughter & her hubby don't drink. But we were there and the hostess felt sure they had room. They pushed together a bunch of tables and were all friendly about it, everyone seemed happy we were there, so nice! Jamie D. was our server and not only was he patient, but he knew the menu, knew our options, suggested many others, helped with this and that - all over excellent service! We began with 2 apps - 2 orders of wings and the bruschetta flatbread. All delicious! The flatbread was very good but also filling. I ordered it for myself but it is actually shareable - I passed it around a couple of times for help! They loved the wings and I even ate one, which I don't usually. Very good. We had many of the items from the menu, so I won't go into detail on each one except to say that nobody left any of their meal, except me, and that's just because I never eat all my food. The Ahi tuna was delicious and my salad was still fresh the next afternoon when I finally finished it. All in all, our $250 dinner was a good value with nice options and very attentive staff. This was a...
Read moreI do not appreciate how I was treated on my birthday a week ago and am now banned. Went there and sat outside at the bar. Made friends and great conversation while there, so I thought. Being the friendly guy I am , I was volunteered to walk someone home by the couple next to me and the person was ok with that....well that person was beyond their limit and I decided it wasn't safe, so I closed my tab and said bye to everybody... another male and the female I was to walk home went to the bathroom because she was sick. I walk back towards them to say my goodbyes, and they say I'm following her. Apparently, the male and a few workers there confirmed this was true when it indeed was not. I am a great looking 36-year-old veteran who doesn't need to follow any female, I am perfectly capable of finding a woman. It breaks my heart to know the narrative was flipped, and i spent my birthday in tears. I returned to speak to a manager because, again, I was hurt by the situation and came to find out I'm banned over fabricated stories. Please, if you go here, be aware of who you're speaking to, trust no one, and don't be too friendly. A simple celebration turned into a scenario that was not. Just be wary, please. I will be returning to speak to the general manager...
