We visited this restaurant while vacationing from New Jersey. We got takeout, and picked it up. So, take this review from the perspective of people living in the New York tri-state area, people who know Italian food. We ordered two orders of spaghetti meatballs, one order of chicken parm, one order of gnocchi Bolognese, One order of chicken marsala, 1 towering eggplant, one Margherita pizza. They gave us a time frame to pick up, and we arrived just before it came out. We looked at the order, and noted they had missed one of the spaghetti and meatballs. Said it wasn't a problem it added it to our bill. What she brought out to us was a side order of spaghetti. No meatballs. This was noted after we got home. 20 minutes away. We've asked for a credit as we're not going back to pick up the meatballs. We were told we would receive a phone call if it was possible. The margarita pizza was decent, though I know many places will make it differently. It was room-temperature when it was received though, and needed to be heated up at home. The Chicken parm, and chicken marsala we're both made with the same grilled chicken doctored up. Neither of these dishes use grilled chicken. The Cheese on the chicken parmesan was overdone, not quite blackened. The marsala sauce was okay, but very thin and just a whisper of marsala. The Tower of eggplant, was interesting in concept, but lacked any flavor . I was tasting my wife's dish, I didn't want a second bite. The gnocchi Bolognese was pretty good. The texture of a gnocchi was spot on, the sauce was pretty good though more like a brown meat gravy. Overall, just okay. Considering the service issues we had , If there are other options I would try them first. It's more a matter of my expectations weren't met. There should be some standard of identity of how things are made, not just how it's easiest to make them. I kept thinking Gordon Ramsay would have a field day. Another thing I forgot, they do offer a gluten-free penne, but if you want penne the only option is gluten free. As an aside, I want the real thing not gluten free. The textures off and tastes like cardboard. 3 days later, still no credit for the...
Read moreMy wife and me were talking about to find a different place for dinner. Then she suggested this italian restaurant by Champions Gate but her only concern was had no idea how is the food and service. My answer was “ there is only one way to know it”. I remember was Friday and we arrived before 5:00 pm. The place is immaculate, neat and beautiful . It has a pleasant environment . The bar on the far corner gives a nice look to the local. As soon we walk in, we were received and greeted in a courtesy way. As the local was empty we had a table right away.
First thing to do , forget about of the traditional menus from others italian restaurants. I have to ask about some items on the menu and the waiter, young hispanic man unfortunately I don’t remember his name, he took the time and explained to us the menu with so many details that only thing we said “ we want that”.
We started with the Focaccia Tower, the texture of the bread was perfect and the Alfredo dipping sauce was excellent. As entrees my wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli and I asked for the Italian sausage Rigatoni. The waiter suggested add a meatball to the side. As we aren’t drinkers, my wife asked for water but I wanted try the Sangria ( it was a little strong). When I tried my Rigatoni, I fell like a pyrotechnics of flavors inside my mouth, I could feel the taste of every ingredient on my plate, a perfect balance of flavors and texture. And I love meatballs, it was tasty , delicious, and I could see the herbs on the meatballs, soft texture . If you love meatballs has to try it. The Lobster Ravioli are 4 nice size raviolis, completely stuffed with lobster. The taste of the lobster was easy to enjoy, strong as supposed to be ; but exquisite to the palate . I am not wonder the Lobster Ravioli is one of the favorite plate. No room for the dessert. Definitely is a journey through the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Palma Italian Kitchen, and I can honestly say it was an experience I won't forget. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere immediately set the tone for a memorable meal. The restaurant exudes a warm, inviting ambiance—perfect for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner. The service was impeccable; attentive without being intrusive, and everyone—from the servers to the chef—genuinely seemed passionate about making sure I had a great experience.
I started with the soup of the day, which was absolutely delicious. It was clear that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The real star, though, was the ribeye with vegetables. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The accompanying vegetables were vibrant and full of flavor, adding the perfect contrast to the richness of the meat.
What truly stood out to me, beyond the incredible food, was the personal touch the chef and owner brought to the experience. They came by to check on guests, engage in conversation, and genuinely make you feel like part of the Palma family. That level of care and attention to detail made the meal even more special.
Overall, Palma Italian Kitchen is a true gem. Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or just looking for a place that serves exceptional food in a cozy, welcoming setting, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning for another round of that delicious ribeye—and I can’t wait to try more of their menu next time. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and make Palma Italian Kitchen your next dining...
