1565 SLICE WY, Davenport, Florida We rented this property from July 17 to the 30th My Daughter made the reservation for me because she had an Airbnb account! I paid the charges
The home that is being advertised on Airbnb and Vrbo is very different than what we walked into. We rented it thru Airbnb! As soon as we entered we started noticing that most things were falling apart and or out of order or very very dirty, the furniture is old with dirt and stains all over it. When we arrived at the property we noticed that It had not been swept or mopped. I found two bottles of medications between the sofa cushions. As we made our way in starting with the first bedroom on the first floor the light doesn’t work and the lamp was broken and missing pieces. The tv in that bedroom also did not work. the shower curtain on first floor bathroom was on the floor, the lights in refrigerator did not work. The water filter light on the refrigerator door was lit as It needed a replacement filter. The countertops in the kitchen were all sticky and full of crumbs. A part of the kitchen microwave was missing The stove top had some sticky melted plastic on it, the majority of the cooking pots that they provide were old and unusable as they’re scratched beyond use. The dishwasher has a really bad odor so we weren’t able to use it. the living room ceiling fan is missing the light cover and only one lightbulb is working. Moving onto the pool area the floors were dirty. The pool was full of bugs. There was hair and dirt on all areas of pool area, the table was also dirty look like it had not been cleaned after the last guests left. The screen in pool area was fastened on with Tape. The garbage can was all stained with garbage juice and the wall where the garbage can is also was stained with old food, the pool itself was full of bugs It was not skimmed before we arrived, the Jets of the hot tub does not work so when you turn it on it works for less than one minute and then it shuts off. Going up to the second floor the banisters are all stained and dirty and full of dust. The carpet on the stairs were dirty with small rocky particles that caused me a bubble under my foot that lasted for about 5 days, they were also stained and have a really bad odor once you’re on the second floor. All of the game tables are damaged the TV on the game room does not work, the hockey table did not turn on as the wire was cut, but even as the repairman turned it on it still doesn’t work 💯 % the pool table pockets were falling apart and It also isn’t level so all the balls slide to 1 side, it’s impossible to play. The pool table is in shambles as the cushions and mat are broken beyond repair, the tub in the master bedroom only throws out cold water two other bathrooms that are on the second floor that actually have shower curtains have yellow stains on them and mold. The bedding in all of the rooms had not been changed or washed as we could smell whatever hair products and body odor from last family that were staying there. We contacted the host in regards to all of the issues that we were having. They said someone would come. They did send someone, the person came and fixed like two of the things that we had mentioned with a nail gun. Then we had pointed out some other issues that we were having and he said they were going to put out a ticket so the repair company can fit it into their schedule. No one ever came. We found so many things wrong with this home and had let Management know. We requested to be moved to another home that’s when we were threatened to be put out even though our reservation was still active. I have rented vacation homes 4 or 5 times in prior years (not at champions gate) and never had any issues. Shame on Champions Gate, The Owner Airbnb and Florida...

There were smashed and dead bedbugs on the corners of the boxspring. There were trails of what looked like dried blood or some black excremental in the mattress too. There was live bugs on two beds, bedding stained and dirty, furniture was all stained. I rested my arm on the counter and it was extremely sticky. Dead cockroach in kitchen. The wood baseboards were broken chewed up/ filthy. Microwave was cracked dirty. In one of my family’s post you said the house was inspected before we got there. It was definitely Not properly inspected. Everyone has to pay a cleaning fee for these rentals , so why was this house so filthy and the worst of all you were rude to us when we called to state concerns and explain this house had bedbugs and was not cleaned and you said if we weren’t happy with it we could go elsewhere and you could refund our money. Well it takes on average 24 to 48 hours or longer to get the refund. So my daughter paid very close to $900.00 for this rental and you so easily said we will refund her money but we have to wait for it and have to find another place to rent, come up with another cost for hotel stay and we had just spent over $250.00 on groceries. This was totally unacceptable. You finally agreed to send your maintenance man out to inspect and he agreed they were definitely bedbugs and that the house was very dirty and not cleaned . He offered us an only choice of another house so we went there , checked the beds and took it because it was the only option for us considering we had a 5 month old baby and 5 adults in our party. The 2nd house was Capteeva Villa . The 2nd house: couch was continuously flaking small pieces of leather onto our clothes and floor, dining area chairs were broken missing pieces, There is an ensuite room above the master bedroom and something up there had a We didn’t know if it was a toilet or sink or shower, there was a leak coming from second floor to first floor, we had to put a pot on the floor . Extremely unsafe and unsanitary. Hot tub wasn’t working correctly which caused the pool pump not to work .Called your office ,after calling 4 different times and being promised a call back,no one called.You have terrible customer service. Fell over on unmaintained walkway- raised areas. after taking out the garbage. Garbage can smelled horrid/ maggots&flys were all inside it . I waited to write my review as I made a complaint to the proper inspection authorities in Florida. There is absolutely no excuse for what we went through in these two rental homes. If these homes are not going to be taken care of by you or the owner then you should not rent them.Our vacation started out horrible and stayed stressful because of Florida Spirits vacation homes choices to take peoples money and not follow through on its promises of clean&safe homes&customer service. Our party had the right to state our concerns and issues in the homes , we did so in a respectful manner and were not given the same respect in return. It is wrong for Florida Spirit (you) to respond to a review with lies about the customer just because it was an honest and truthful review bringing light on the faults in the company and rental homes. Florida Spirit Vacation Homes were in fact acting shameful after taking our hard earned money and not providing services paid for. Then stating lies about the customer. We were not looking for anything but a fun , happy, and clean home and pool/jacuzzi experience. This experience ruined our vacation. I will never again recommend you to anyone I know for vacation...
Read moreThis was my 4th time using your site to rent vacation homes. I was so disappointed with my vacation home. I dont know where to start. If you noticed this home only had one review and now i can clearly see why. This home was full of roaches and ants..not only sugar ants but also fire ants.The first night we arrived we sanitize the kitchen and prepared a quick meal..hamburgers, hotdogs.etc and went outside to swim and returned back to the kitchen full of ants all over our food. I was so pissed off I couldnt believe it..it was disgusting so we trashed everything and went out to eat, which forced us to spend more money on our vacation when we had already went grocery shopping to buy food to cook at the house and enjoy after the long drive..but thats just the beginning we return back to the infested home to find BIG roaches in the game room. some were dead and we had to kill a few with bleach we use to sanitize. its clear this home is not properly cared for and not safe for anyone family to stay in. The corners of the garage had filt swept in the corners with all types of dead bugs and dust present. Now to begin with the restrooms. 2 of the bathroom tubs need plumbing attention asap..while showering the tubs were stopped up and would not go down after plungering..This was disgusting.My husband pulled the stopper up and you wouldnt believe all the yucky stuff stucked in the stopper..i had to vomit after seeing it. im not done after noticing the bed in one room sheets were pulled back.. they were dirty with residue, so it appears they dont even wash them..I could go on and on about this nasty home. At checkout my husband goes out to load trash in the trash bin outside. It was full of maggots and old smelly trash from prev visitors so we had no where to store our trash. i called the guy chris to advised him about trash bin already full. he suggested i load trash on top and leave an extra garbage bag on the side. If your looking to rent this home I ADVISE YOU TO KEEP SEARCHING!!!DO NOT RENT HERE!! this is my 4th time using the site to rent vacation homes and will definetly be my last time. This infested, nasty home ruined my family trip, words could not explain how i felt but i tried my best to make it work for my family and kids to not have their vacation ruined..I pray management read this review and address the issues ASAP before they take someone else money and rip them off also..we spent over $600 on this home. And was not satisfied. And could not find a hotel that could fit my family im the same room without being seperated and wasting more money. I have pictures.etc of everything i mentioned in this review so I Will definitely be escalating this to the president CEO, whoever should really be informed on my experience

After speaking with brian I was satisfied with the way he quickly resolved the problem. Like i mentioned before this has never happened and i used their vacation homes several times and never experienced this. cleaners may sometimes overlook things. But the owner called me back and this issue was corrected and I am a happy customer again with florida spirit vacation. Its nice to do business with a company that appreciate their customers. Brian was able to resolve the issue quickly and i am satisfied with the resolution..See ya...
