Only after my order was placed/paid did the site notify me delivery would take an hour and a half. I called the store less than 2 minutes later to switch to pickup, was immediately put on hold. After four minutes when no one picked up, I hung up and called again. The employee (who answered right away since they forgot/ignored me on hold) first insisted the pizza was in the oven, and that it’s location as such somehow made it impossible to change. Told them I would be there in less than ten minutes, to which they tried to insist couldn’t be done. They finally go to get a manager, and, to my huuuuuge (not) surprise, it magically could be done. They then had the nerve to condescend to me and request I call “sooner” next time.
I guess two minutes after somehow isn’t “soon”, but then again leaving me on hold for 4 minutes wasn’t answering soon either, so who knows what concept of time reigns in this place. Apparently all the employees here are capable of is being facetious and performing the bare minimum by not improperly making orders. Take my advice. Go to the Papa Johns on 231 SW PSL Blvd, this location isn’t worth the cardboard their orders are boxed in.
EDIT: 1.24.23 Management or staffing seems to have changed and customer service is completely different now. This has become my regular...
Read moreThe owner of several local Papa John's franchises chose to participate in a school coupon program that started last year around the same time school did. We decided to support our friend's son's football team and purchase the coupons just for the free Papa John's pizza coupons. A few months back we tried to use it and they told us they no longer accept them. I forgot to call and follow up on it at the time. Tonight we are dead broke the night before payday and really could have used a free pizza for dinner & the owner/manager (not sure who he was but by what he said it sounded like the owner) told me that he was trying to do a nice thing by participating but that a few teachers handed out 50 or more to students who then we're calling in 12-15 free pizzas at a time and then cancelling the orders so now they no longer accept them!! Not even if you're standing in the store waiting on the order!! The coupon is good until 7/31/2019!! This is not fair to the people who actually paid money to have a free pizza coupon! I think it's pretty easy to tell the difference or ask that the order be placed at the store and that you wait on it in order to redeem the coupon! It's not like I was trying to order more than the 1...
Read moreApparently the employees were having it out here last night. One was screaming obscenities to the guy working the counter telling him to “do something”. When the counter guy got fed up he quit and walked out. Unfortunately when he quit he didn’t log out and no one there could take payment for the order we placed and wanted to pay for using a debit card during pick up. After a half hour of trying to call the owner and figure out how to take payment, the employee that quit walked back in and went back to work like nothing happened. I think I saw George Costanza pull that on Seinfeld once. Back to Dominos we go I guess. It’s closer, but they don’t make bowls. If there is an owner, he needs to go in maybe and see...
