Main Question: Is the food here worth the money?
Short Answer: No, not from this experience.
Detailed Answer: There is no sugar coating this and I must say that I had higher hopes for this place but I was sorely mistaken and severely disappointed.
I ordered the triple decker sandwich. The bread was inedible. It was the second most stale bread I've ever eaten anywhere. Falling second only to bread my mom left open for 4 days and I made a sandwich from it when I was 12 years old. The bread was partially burnt on top. The were two slices of turkey on the sandwich. The bacon was good. The tomatoes were good but a BLT is about the entire sandwich and when you must fight to try to break through the bread with a saw, this ruins the entire sandwich.
The mashed potatoes came out drenched in gravy. I love gravy but my goodness, don't give me the entire cup. The mashed potatoes were not good. They tasted like they were instant mashed potatoes and I didn't finish them.
My son ordered a cheeseburger and the onions were cut gigantic. The chef must have been new or just didn't care about the meal. (Saturday November 4th, around 8:30pm). He loves onions but those were huge and he ended up digging them out of the sandwich. The fries weren't bad.
Unfortunately, I came for the soup and salad and they had no soup.
The server was great but there were so many other problems in this place, it wasn't good enough service to bring this from one star to two. Maybe 1.2 stars.
The bathrooms weren't horrible but they smelled and if you look at the sink where the employees wash their hands, you can see it needs a severe cleaning.
We will not be back again and I highly suggest you do...
Read moreMyself, my husband, our son, and grandpa went for lunch earlier today and the service as well as the food was far below par. The asst manager greeted and seated us and took our drink order. Ok no problem. Our server comes back with said drinks, yet doesn’t bother introducing herself. She doesn’t offer any suggestions or anything. We say we need another minute still to look over the menu. So she disappeared. When she finally comes back over 5 minutes later, we finally give her our order, she surprisingly doesn’t try to upsell us on anything (which is an indication to me she doesn’t really like her job— she’s only there to collect a paycheck). And she STILL HAS NOT introduced herself. My husband order a soup first, and it was barely lukewarm and bland. When the rest food finally came around 20 minutes later or so, it was just average, nothing spectacular. Our server checked on us for a split second before disappearing again. We had to flag her down for two togo boxes and the check. She gives us the boxes and the check and says: “You can pay it up front. Have a nice day.” She doesn’t bother prebussing the table which made it somewhat difficult to find room on the table for the boxes. When i went to pay the bill, (which I finally saw the server’s name, Heather.) the asst manager asked the typical: “so how was everything?” question. I told him it was mediocre. He doesn’t bother trying to get me to elaborate. He saw my USAF hat and asked if i was a vet, I said yes. So i got $5 off my bill. No I did not tip Heather because of her lack of service. My family and I will not patron that location again. I am a server, and this was one of my worst experiences ever as a...
Read moreWe had our breakfast there around 8:30 AM (12/27/21). First, they didn't cook my eggs right but they fix it, the server didn’t even check on us the entire dine in and didn’t even bother to give us a soda refill. Second, we played that toy vending machine inside the restaurant but sad to say the price get stuck and didn't drop all way. My toddler was so excited about the toy but we are helpless because the restaurant crew told us “nothing we can do about it just call that number posted on the machine. We called the vending machine customer service and they told us that someone will come and open the machine and gonna leave it to the store and will contact us. We waited until the next day but no one call us so we called Perkins again but they said that “we don’t know about it”, we drove back to Perkins restaurant but the toy wasn’t in there anymore. It's not about the price we paid but it's the principle that we won and didn't get our price and the sad part was it break the kid’s heart and the restaurant didn't even care there customer. Some pics below and even have a...
