ORDER FROM A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT!
The managerial staff at Avalon Park location really needs a complete overhaul. My wife, 2yr old daughter, and myself purchased a large pizza from there recently. My daughter attempted to turn in a coloring page for a free kids/personal pan pizza.
The young man working the register was VERY helpful and was doing his best to help us since we were interested in a deal we saw advertised in the storefront window that wasn't mentioned on the website where we placed the order. We ended up needing a manager to actually complete the transaction. Manager Leia arrived from the back of the store visibly annoyed and unpleasantly barks at us that she CAN'T give us the deal we were asking about. She also says she CAN'T give refunds when I asked for one. She refuses to provide me a gift card for the price of my order as well. She proceeds to become very verbally short with my family and myself. I asked her if the store manager could give a refund and she said, "she's not here so no. She can't give a refund from home."
It was at this point she also told us in a flat and very annoyed tone, we didn't qualify for the personal pan pizza because the picture my toddler colored was from Thanksgiving. I told her that's not written on the paper anywhere and it simply says, "... color and return for free personal pan pizza." I also informed her the employee that gave us that paper originally told us to bring it whenever we come back. "IT'S A TURKEY." She snapped at me. I told her there was no stipulation on time. At this point Leia is physically and verbally at me in a way that made me very uncomfortable to have my 2yr old in her presence.
Leia actually calls the store manager right in front of us with a really unprofessional attitude the entire time. I don't think the woman on the other end of the phone knew she was on speaker because she was RUDE TOO! She informed Leia that we couldn't have the pan pizza because that was for Thanksgiving only, which by the way isn't the problem I have. I was going to simply PURCHASE the kids pizza right up until the nastiness started coming my way.
Leia proceeds to walk away as I'm speaking to her so I ask her quickly if there is a business card for the store or district manager I could have. As she's walking away she tells me, "What?? This is a Pizza Hut, we don't have no business cards!" And that was the last I saw of her as she completely vanished into the back of the store somewhere. The staff seemed almost afraid of her as well.
At that point my family and I left feeling truly confused and irritated at what just occurred and the unwarranted rudeness shown by the managerial staff. This location currently has a 2 star rating and I strongly believe those two managers are the core of the problem. Neither seemed to value us as customers nor value as fellow humans.
I still intend to speak directly to the district manager if not...
Read moreLook, pizza hut is always pricier than rival chain pizzas and the pizza business is too competitive to have crap employees who give terrible service.
I arrived around 9 pm to pickup my order. The manager and only other employee were both in the alley next to the store. The manager on his cell phone saw me go in to the store. I waited about 7 minutes before an employee finally walked into the store. He seemed lost. He said it looked like I paid already. I had tried to pay online but the system wasn't working so I opted to pay onsite. So when he said it was paid, I almost believed him. I asked him if he was sure. In that time the manager walked in and persisted to berate the employee. "This is why I'm the manager and you're not". He then looked at me and continued "the Manager has to come in here and fix the problem". No offer for napkins or anything.
The pizza looked dry and sad. The garlic cheese bread sticks looked great, but that was the only bright spot.
I'll be going to the e colonial store the next time I decide to...
   Read moreDear Pizza Hut Team,
I recently visited one of your locations and ordered two personal pan pizzas and one order of breadsticks. With this order, I received only one marinara sauce. When I asked for an additional sauceâsince one small container isnât nearly enough for a full order of breadsticksâI was told it would cost $0.80 extra.
While I did pay the fee, I found this frustrating. Given the portion size of the breadsticks, one marinara simply isnât sufficient. Itâs disappointing to be charged extra for what should reasonably be included with the order.
Additionally, the cashierâs response lacked courtesy and understanding. I believe this could have been handled more thoughtfully.
Iâve always appreciated Pizza Hutâs service and quality, but experiences like this can make customers feel nickeled and dimed. I hope youâll reconsider your sauce policy and better train staff on how to handle these situations with care and...
