Went into Plummers with my husband and daughter with the intentions of having breakfast. We typically order their catfish platter, it is a family favorite. Walked in wasnât greeted with a hello or good morning, but was told we could sit anywhere. It was 5 waitresses and 3 customers total in the restaurant already, some already with their food. We sat down was asked what we would like to drink. We ordered our drinks and received the drinks within 2 mins. We were ready to order our food, but our waiter who dropped off the drinks didnât ask us what we wanted to eat. Instead she went to an older gentleman and we waited 8 minutes before someone else came over, who wasnât the first waitress, we were confused as to the long wait. A older couple walked in while we waited to order. Was greeted with an â hi how you guys doing â immediately was provided their drinks and ordered all in a matter of 2 mins. We were skipped over! and to make matters worse an announcement was made that there was no more catfish. Then the waitress of the other couple walks over and says aloud proudly ⌠well there is no more catfish after you two order!! So I asked after who order? Knowing we were already in process of ordering and had been in the restaurant prior to the couple they obviously knew. The waitress replied after they order. So my family and I (me being 7 months pregnant) left because clearly the restaurant didnât value our presence, had a favorite customer who they prioritized , and customer service wasnât a priority! My daughter and I went to the car, my husband stayed to speak to a manager because what had just happened was unacceptable! I hate to say that racism wasnt at play here but clearly my family was black and the other customers, they prioritized, were not. The manager apologized and offered an incentive for when we return next time but personally we donât see ourselves returning to that kind of...

One of the first things that stands out about Plumber's Family Restaurant is its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained. The decor is simple but tasteful, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light.

Whether you're in the mood for a big breakfast, a juicy burger, or a savory plate of comfort food, this restaurant has you covered. Some of my personal favorites include the country fried steak, the meatloaf, and the chicken and dumplings. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, making this restaurant an excellent value.
Another thing I appreciate about Plumber's Family Restaurant is their commitment to using high-quality ingredients. The food always tastes fresh and flavorful, and the menu features a variety of dishes made with locally sourced produce and meats.

Read moreMy wife and I used to come to this place at least twice a week in 2020 , we moved out of Tampa and have been missing this place so much ever since not only because of the good food but also because the hospitality there was amazing , they treated us like family. We moved back to Tampa this August and finally went for some breakfast today( with our baby) and we were so excited till we walked in and everything was completely different. The server was rude , we asked questions and she would sigh or roll her eyes. My brother in law asked her about a chicken tenders plate and she said the chef decided whether he would receive 3 or 4 tenders and when he asked to receive 4 she laughed and said thatâs not how it goes. I asked her for a tea and she said âsweet or unsweetenedâ In a very rude manner. And when my wife went to order her plate ( which was our last straw before walking out and going someplace else to eat) she was very intimidating with my wife , also forcing her that she had to get a side of meat if she wanted a plate of grits and eggs. I was so excited to finally come back to eat here after all these years but this lady absolutely ruined it for us. I wish I remembered her name but honestly I donât even think she...
