I have never had such an atrocious experience anywhere. And going through the reviews that came before, I should not be surprised. It seems the same story is being told over and over.
My take away: the classless customer service given by their employees is normal and that is their standard. I know getting a refund was the only option as I was witness to their lack of standards. I have a concern about the quality of the food as well as maintenance and cleanliness. If you can't be respect your customers you don't respect the quality of service you are giving. I will be contacting corporate.
Facts: After ordering in the drive thru, we received the wrong drink. Both times they came covered in sticky overflow - not a big problem. We were asked to move up because our food was not yet ready. After having served no less than 4/5 cars behind us, I decided to wait inside. Upon entering I was asked how I could be helped to which my response was I was waiting on my food. I was given a sarcastic smile and answer that, "yes, I know." ( Why ask ) I was doing nothing but answering their question with a statement. I say they because both employees at the window decided to stare me down and talk about me to all the employees as I stood there. Extraordinarily uncomfortable. After being given my food, I left realizing it was incorrect. I came back in for the second time, (remember I originally came in the drive thru) to the sound of the employees still complaining about me "being a problem", to which I said "excuse me". The drive thru employee agressively and rudely replied, "Yes we're talking about you". And continued to do so. I looked at all the Popeyes employees in shock. As she kept talking she turned around once again and looked me in the eye, "We aren't talking to you" and continued on babbling. I feel terrible for the sweet girl at the register. She was obviously uncomfortable, and again not shocked by the bahavior. And that's when I asked for the manager.
At that point I decided to return the food. When the manager arrived, I was aware that she was PRESENT for the employees talking to me in an agressive manner. Yes, she was very nice and refunded my money, but not until I mentioned speaking to the district manager and corporate did she apologize. Which I do appreciate.

Dear Popeyes Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment with the service I received at your location at 4511 Saufley Field Rd, Pensacola, FL 32526. My experience at this store was unacceptable, and I feel compelled to bring it to your attention.
During my visit to the drive-thru, I encountered several issues that made the experience extremely unpleasant. First, the service was delayed and incredibly slow, which caused unnecessary frustration. When I attempted to call the store to address the issue, the phone was rudely hung up on me, which I found to be completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
When I finally received my order and attempted to resolve the matter with the female manager, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. To make matters worse, she walked away from the situation instead of addressing my concerns, behaving in an unprofessional and immature manner. Her appearance and demeanor were unkempt and unprofessional—resembling a cheap Whoopi Goldberg doll—and her argumentative behavior was shocking for someone in a managerial position. Rather than resolving the issue, she acted like a child, further escalating my frustration.
This level of service and behavior is unacceptable, especially from individuals in leadership roles. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with respect and for any issues to be handled courteously and efficiently. Instead, I was met with hostility, unprofessionalism, and a complete lack of accountability.
I kindly request that this matter be escalated to the district manager for review. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the district manager to discuss my experience and ensure that appropriate action is taken to address the behavior at this location. We went to this Popeye's location for dinner this evening. The counter staff was somewhat rude to us after we stated we would need a minute to decide on what we would like to order. Made us wait until they decided to come back to the counter to take our order. We ignored it.
We decided to order the spicy chicken sandwich combos without the sauce. The counter staff sarcastically told us that was what made the sandwich spicy. We had been in the restaurant and ordered the spicy chicken sandwich without the sauce before and the chicken breast itself was spicy; not the sauce. We explained that to the counter staff, but he treated us as though we didn't know what we were talking about. We ignored it and just ordered the regular chicken sandwich meals.
The counter staff acted as though he did not know how to run the register, I noticed him pushing an excessive amount of buttons on it, and looking at it strangely. When I got my receipt, the subtotal was $14.78. The menu board had the regular sandwich combo meal priced as $7.19. I also noticed it was rang up as though I went through the "Drive Thru" and not inside.
I hate being disrespected and ripped off. $.40 isn't that much of a deal to one individual, but if you multiply it by possibly a 1000 orders a day, 7 days a week, it adds up to $2800/week and over $100k per year. It's theft of the public...
