Whataburger — Restaurant in Florida

It is with great disappointment that I have to do this review. This was my first visit to this store. I live close by and decided to swing through after church today to get lunch handled quickly. I have two small children and potty breaks are every five minutes these days. So I decided to go straight and knock that out. The back stall in the men's bathroom has a sink and toliet combo. The floor was flooded with water. And the sink had clearly been blessed with a hefty vomiting which we didn't touch. So we made it to the counter ordered and I mentioned it to the cashier Nathan B per the receipt said. Sat down ate and we was the only customers in the store. And he later grabbed his gloves and some cleaner and roll of paper towels after being told by a Co worker it needed attention I guess he didn't believe me ha and went to clean it I assumed. Two ladies walked in to eat. And one guy says once the cashier comes out of the bathroom he will ring you up I can't do it because it's his register. So this guy comes out of the bathroom with gloves on holding a mop and wet floor sign, sits it down makes his way to the register and proceeds to take the first lady's order and I was shocked he touches screen on the register and hands the woman her cup with the gloves on. I got up walked up to the register as he was taking care of the next woman. And asked him sir are those the same gloves you was wearing to clean up the vomit with? He replied yes and another worker standing by him jaw dropped. I said take the gloves off and wash your hands now that is nasty and a blood borne pathogen. And told the first woman he touched your cup also she was like I know and was shocked of what had just happened. The other co worker told him also he need to take his gloves off and wash his hands I don't think he washed them. So I called and spoke with the manager and she was in agreement and said she would have a talk with him. I don't think that's appropriate reprimand I would have walked him out in my opinion. But if they are that careless up front just imagine in the kitchen. And I imagine there are some that don't know what a BBP is so look it up. Nasty Nasty Nasty. Will never return to...

I came to this Whataburger at 11:30pm. Over 30 minutes in the drive thru. 7 cars in front of me. 10 minutes to get to the order box. 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. No, please wait and we'll be with you as soon as possible, just silence. By the time I ordered, there was only one car in front of me, at the pick up window. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese jalapeño chedder bisuit meal with a large diet Dr Pepper, and another sausage, egg and cheese jalapeño cheddar buscuit. 5 minutes to get to the pick up window, and over 5 minutes at the window, waiting for my order. The guy came to the window to collect payment. He returned with my large drink, with the outside of the cup covered in soda. I asked for a napkin, he said ok, shut the window a returned with some napkins, receipt, cc, and straw in a stack, handing it to me, while I'm still holding the large drink outside my vehicle. I clean it off, wait some time and he returns with my food. When I get home, I find that my large drink is root beer, and instead of my second sausage, egg and cheese on jalapeño cheddar, I received a plain sausage biscuit. The food was warm and well put together. I've come a couple times before, and the wait is always long, but at least they got the order right and were friendly. This was excessively long wait for a drive thru. Add in bad customer service and not getting the order right, I'd say I'm not likely to return, and definitely would not recommend. Hwy 29 and Davis Hwy are more efficient...

Best sausage gravy of any fast food in Pensacola, no other Whataburger is even close enough.

Do need to have staff tighten up a bit, that lowers the rating today. When ordering, I was interrupted to be asked if I wanted cheese on my Chirzo Taquito. Not the first time it has happened, and both times strikes me as an un-needed question, as isn't that how it is listed? If I did not want cheese, I would clearly say so. Almost forgot to get OJ, which I do not always order due to the interruption. Do not interrupt people, besides being rude it might cause delays or make customers forget items wanted!

Picking up my order the main item I had ordered; "biscuit and gravy with scrambled egg on top, all in one container like dine in." was not correct in that the eggs were in a second container. Also, the order was placed din the bag and handed to me with the container of biscuit and gravy on a diagonal, not handed to me horizontal as usual. I was distracted by the number of containers, and did not notice as I knocked on the window to let that young lady know the other had not listened to my order correctly. Only on arriving home did I find 1/4 of my gravy was in the bag, and all the napkins and utensils were covered in it. I will be back, and still wish I could have ordered that egg over easy...
