Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Florida

I was sorry to see so many Ruby Tuesdays close down because it is by far my favorite salad bar. I don't usually get anything else because I love the salad bar. So, when I was travelling thru northern Florida, I couldn't resist a stop here.

The place was not busy (weekday, 03/20/2023 at 4pm-ish) and was very clean and welcoming. Our server Hannah D was exceptional - nice, attentive and just so pleasant. The manager himself was putting out new items on the salad bar and was keeping it tidy - he was super nice too.

You just can't beat this salad bar - no matter what you like, it is on it. I really enjoyed it and remembered how much I miss Ruby Tuesdays in my area.

My friend had the veggie burger with fries and it was really quite good. Sometimes the veggie burgers at other restaurants are mushy, but this one was firm and from looking at it, you could not tell it was not real meat. It was very good, as were the piping hot fries.

We also had a lava cake for dessert. And, well, there isn't ANY thing you can say about lava cake except delicious.

I've noticed the prices in restaurants have gone up a bit, and this was no different. The salad bar by itself was around $12, the veggie burger was a little more. That's inflation for you and I guess we can't expect prices to remain the same from years ago.

The location is convenient (right off the Interstate across from the outlet place), but it is wicked to get to because of all the road construction. You have to go into the area, then go around to get to it. Parking is plentiful and free. There is outdoor dining also.

When my travels bring me again to the area, I will stop here. While I do enjoy eating in downtown locations to experience the local culture, I just can't give up a Ruby Tuesday when I see one. ...

We don’t normally do reviews but seeing as we had the absolute best experience here today, we wanted others to experience the kind of service we did. Our server katie was so kind and perfectly timed our meals. Our drinks were refilled at half way point each time. Should try the flavored teas! We bought refills as she originally suggested them, and they were too good not to get another round. Yum. She was sat multiple tables at once (us being one of them) and you would not have known. She seemed to effortlessly to take our orders and get us everything we needed. She made sure my entire family had the best time. She was so kind and thoughtful. It was in the small things she was doing, too many to list here! Having a daughter that is in the same field, she is amazing. I would say the best server in St Augustine. Bar none! From giving us extra napkins when we didn’t even ask, to bringing us a hand wipe for our ribs, refilling our drinks at half way point, to her recommendations for our meal, to clearing off our empty plates in as we finished with them, (all without us asking) to her welcoming, genuine and warm personality, she is a must to sit with. There is just something about how wonderful she was. My entire party felt the exact same way. We were amazed that a place like Ruby Tuesdays would have such a hidden treasure! We wish she could be our server out everywhere! We got all her recommendations, upsold us to a salad bar as an extra side for all our meals, getting the flavored tea. She could sell to anyone! We definitely spent far more than what we intended, and she is 200% the reason why. She will be the reason we will be coming back in, again and again..please come in and...

Our server was Catie and she was absolutely amazing! We never had to ask her for a single thing because she was on top of everything. She truly made our experience one to remember. My son who is almost 5 and never gives anyone a compliment even said how nice she was. I've been a server so I tend to have high expectations when dining at a restaurant. She never once disappointed. This girl didn't miss a beat and not once forgot anything we needed. She made sure our drinks were always full and took away plates as soon as she saw they were empty. We need more servers like her! We don't typically go to Ruby Tuesday's but because of our experience with Catie we will be visiting on a regular basis now and will absolutely be asking for her as well. You guys are truly lucky to have her working for you. Most servers aren't even half as good as she is. The food was good and came out quickly, and exactly how we asked for it to be. The burger patty was a little small but for the price it was a steal! Please make sure you give the server Catie some recognition on her efforts because I know servers typically don't get noticed when they do an amazing job and why so many just don't care anymore. I truly hope that never happens to her, but she doesn't seem like the type of person that would ever give less than her all and her best. If you happen to read this Catie, thank you so much for being so kind and such a great server. I know it can be a hard job, but you are killing it girl!
