Sam's Subs — Restaurant in Florida

Went in for the first time today (for a cheeseburger and fries), as it was recommended by a friend. Politely let the cashier know it was my first time. The menu seems to be printed on 11x17 paper, which is large, but apparently I was looking on the wrong side of it, so didn’t see the cheeseburgers, only the subs. I asked if they had cheeseburgers, the girl said “Yes”. I still didn’t see them, so I’m guessing it was the owner, says, “The other side”, so I glanced over to other side of the page (still not seeing them). The girl finally said “Flip it over”. I chuckled and said “Oh, my bad”. The owner then said “Isn’t that what I said? The other side?” (In a nasty tone). I almost said never mind, but I gave it another shot. I ordered my food, and a Pepsi for dine in, and sat down. When they brought my food, the fries were clearly burnt, and there was no drink, so I went to the counter and asked for my drink. Well, apparently, I was supposed to fix my own drink🤷🏽‍♀️, which is fine, but would’ve been nice to have been told that, as I had already let the girl know, it was my first time there. I hate to give bad reviews, but it seemed everyone else that walked in received very friendly service. Maybe they just didn’t like me or the color of my skin, who knows🤷🏽‍♀️ I probably won’t be going...

We are newly located around the area, I found Sam's subs from a google maps for delivery. I am happy we were farther out than the delivery distance because I got to go to this establishment in person. Once I arrived I walked in the door and was immediately greeted by the staff. I started laughing like that (110$) order was mine. Which it was everything was bagged and ready to go upon my arrival. I had several bags and a employee offered to help me carry out my bags (there were 5 bags)! Once outside we had a little bit of small talk. Come to find out this very generous man was the owner, Sam. I drove home and emptied my much anticipated bags. Everyone sat down for dinner and not one complaint. The food was PERFECT! We dine at various locations often and also work in the industry. To have a dinner where there were no complaints is a huge feat for my family! My husband also got the roast beef sandwich! It is so awesome to have a real roast beef sandwich when a lot of other places have discontinued to sell real roast beef! I will be dining out to this location! This place continues to disappoint. When we first moved here we visited Sam's and met the owner and he seemed friendly and the food was OK. We returned a few times and each and every time the typical poor attitude of Port Charlotte came through. Nearly two years ago we called in an order for delivery and my wife had the call on speaker phone. We had out of town guests and they were amazed by the rudeness of the person on the phone taking our order! I decided we would not go to Sam's again because of that experience. It is a shame because we live right next door. Today, two years later, I went there to get something to take out. The store has a sign that they close at 3:00 PM on Saturday. I have always known that and I thought how sad that is because we often eat late on Saturday. I arrived at the front door at 2:20 PM there were what appeared to be four employees and two patrons in the store. The door was locked. I knocked on the door but they ignored me. I knocked again and pointed to my watch . They still ignored me. No worries. The food is NOT good enough to deal with their bad attitude and their lemonade stand...
