By far the best Cubans in the greater Tampa area. The have a good amount of different food on their menu and they are one of the few places that actually have good quality chicken wings. The staff and owners are super friendly and always treat you like family. I come here all the time and would always recogmend this place to anyone. I was reading through the reviews and couldn't help to notice a review that was 3 stars that she changed down to 1 star because she is a delivery driver and had trouble locating the establishment. There are signs out front and are on almost every gas pump. She gave this establishment a biased review based on her frustration of failing to locate the advertisment signs for the business. Its not a fair review due to the person rating the description of the location through the third party she was delivering for and not the service this business provides. I did report that person's 1 star review to Google based on a conflict of interest due to a failure on her part to read a third parties directions to this establishment. Stopped in for the first time today at around 9:30am. Initial thought was it seemed expensive, but after seeing the portion sizes I understood the reason for the price.

I ordered a whole cheesesteak with provolone and an order of fries.

The cheesesteak is the reason I gave 5 stars. It was massive. It tasted as good as it looked. The bread was great, the steak was great, no complaints from the NJ boy. I would have perhaps enjoyed more onions, but I am sure they would have piled them on if I asked. 1/4 of the cheesesteak would have been enough to satisfy my hunger. I pushed on and had to tap out after chowing down a 1/3rd of it. I am left with enough lunch and dinner.

The fries were good and could feed a family of 4. I prefer fries little more crispy. Like I said they were good. just not great. It could have been time of day, after all I ordered fries at breakfast time. I think these will heat and crisp up great in the air fryer later today.

Anyway, the star was the cheesesteak. I would certainly consider getting takeout from there again. But next time, I will ask for more onions and...

So I was a regular at selfie subs for YEARS. Since they were in the gas station on big ben rd. When I say a regular, 2 to 3 times a week. Either breakfast or lunch, subs, or wings. A few experiences from last year prompted me to stop visiting. It started with a major price increase, which I partly understand, then the size portions got a lot smaller then expected. Mind you, I've been a loyal and frequent customer for years. I notice the consistency of quality started to drop as well. The menu almost doesn't make sense and is hard to navigate. 5 minutes there on a Saturday will prove that with the amount of ppl who need it explained. Then today, a chicken chz steak and fries lunch speacil. I paid $11.50 and the bread felt like it was left out for a while before being toasted, the sandwich was dry. The fries, omg, hard as rocks. You can tell they were already fried, sat out, then over fried again. Unfortunately this will be my last time here, even the vibe of the staff felt off. Good luck...
