Being a chef and a foodie, I review every eatery. I was looking for a Mexican restaurant Fairly close to my location for a business meeting and found this place, after reading the reviews I thought it would be worth a try. When I arrived the place was mostly empty and there was only two waiters Covering the entire restaurant. I was seated after waiting a few minutes and decided to have a drink while I waited for my guests to arrive. The service was really pretty decent except for I had to wait a long time to get my beers refilled. I ordered the skirt steak with rice and beans. The presentation was good except for it should've had either a small amount of a salad or a pico may be a scoop of guacamole or sour cream that is the norm for high-priced plate. I was asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas, I decided on flour and was charged .99 for 3 tortillas . I noticed right away there was a strong odor coming from the beans as they smelled as if they were going sour. I cut into my steak and unfortunately the same type of odor as the meat was not fresh. I tried a couple of bites of the beans and yes to my dismay they were sour. The steak as well had no flavor and it had a slight taste of on the verge of being rancid. The rice was very delicious and well cooked. We ordered their house guacamole which was very delicious as well, the chips were fresh. The waiter asked me what was wrong with my food and I told him he agreed to replace it was something else I decided to try the tacos al pastor. He brought me the plate of two tacos rice and again the rotten beans. So right there was strike two. I did eat one taco and enjoyed the salsa that he brought with it, it was very spicy. I told him before I leave I would like to take home the same type of tacos. Within minutes to my surprise he hands me a bag and says there's your tacos, I had not ordered them yet as I did not want them to sit. I opened up the bag and again to my dismay MORE rotten beans along with 2 tacos and rice. I explained to him that I did not want that, now that is three times I have told him about the rotten beans. I explained that I only wanted to take home 4 tacos. He finally replaced the rice and beans with an additional two tacos. This server was Edgar, nice guy and fairly patient. I do not know that I will be back as my concerns were dismissed and the two items mentioned were below sub-par. My two guests ordered the skinny margaritas verrrry expensive 13.99)! But they loved them.

🏴‍☠️Arrr, gather ‘round ye scurvy dogs, fer I’ve got a tale of gastronomic glory to spin about the fine establishment they call Señor Tequila! By the beard of Poseidon, this be no mere tavern but a treasure trove of culinary delight! The vittles, aye, were as hot as a cannonball fresh from the fire and as delicious as gold doubloons plundered from a Spanish galleon. The portions? Great Neptune’s trident, they be fit fer a crew of hungry buccaneers—enough to fill even the belly of the greediest seadog! Now, let me spin ye a yarn ‘bout the service—our waiter, a swashbuckler of charm and grace, did cater to our every whim. He was attentive as a lookout in a crow’s nest and as helpful as a first mate hoisting the sails in a storm. No grog ran dry, no plate sat empty, and not a soul left without a hearty “Arrr!” of satisfaction. And the value? By Davy Jones’ locker, it be as fair as a merchant’s trade on calm waters. Gold well spent, says I, fer the bounty received. Señor Tequila be a port I’ll gladly sail to again and again, me hearties! So hoist the anchor and steer yer ship toward this haven of flavor. Ye won’t need a map to find Señor Tequila—just follow the scent of adventure and the clinking of full plates and happy mugs! Yarrr!

I recently visited Senor Tequila Mexican Restaurant and had a delightful experience. The ambiance is vibrant and inviting, with colorful decor that sets a festive mood. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. We started our meal with the classic guacamole and chips, which were fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I opted for the enchiladas suizas, which were incredibly delicious, with just the right amount of spice. The portions were generous, and we both left feeling very satisfied. The margaritas are a highlight—they offer a variety of flavors, and the ones we tried were perfectly balanced and refreshing. Overall, Senor Tequila offers a wonderful dining experience with authentic Mexican flavors and a lively atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great Mexican food and a good time.

Wow, what a horrible experience and primarily service based. To start, we walked in at 6pm sharp to be seated and we were seated quickly with no wait by 6:02. By 6:10, the waitress addressed us and by that time we had our full order ready from drinks to apps to entrees. I ordered the guacamole Mexicana and the tacos mexicana (steak, soft corn, Mexican style) and he ordered a super burrito, I had a watermelon margarita as well and he ordered a Bud bottle. We didn’t see her for a long time after that. There wasn’t too many tables compared to the number of staff but the service struggled horrendously. By 6:30, we had finally gotten our drinks, although incorrect. After another 10 minutes, we got our drinks corrected.

We got chips and salsa brought over and finished them before we got our drinks. The salsa was subpar but had some chunks and a light Smokey flavor. The chips tasted stale. Upon getting our guac, we were not brought chips although we were out, and had to wait awhile to get more to start eating. The next batch of salsa was drastically different and worse, tasted like a spicy tomato sauce where as the first round was chunky but mild. It was a weird change and for the worst. We ate no more of that. Our guacamole tasted solely of lime and wasn’t good either, we were both disappointed but at least it appeared fresh.

Eventually our food arrived and we were shocked at how this could get worse. His “super burrito” was filling dumped on his plate with a tortilla set on top of it. There was nothing rolled about his burrito and was the LAZIEST presentation I’ve ever seen. He paid $3 extra for steak and had a total of four tiny, dry pieces but did find green beans inside? My tacos had flour tortillas that were very hard and stale. I opted to scrape the insides out and eat them with the rice and beans. The rice was incredibly mushy and bland while the beans carried the same lack of flavor and texture. The only saving Grace to this experience was that the hot sauce was very hot. The boyfriend says the only thing making this experience not one star was that “some things had flavor”. However, our server ran off before asking if we needed anything, so I had to leave my meal and speak to four different people to get hot sauce and still only got a tiny amount for the both of us. Our female server was horrendously inattentive and seemed like she was avoiding us the entire time, but I don’t understand why it takes over 30 minutes to properly take and deliver a two person drink order, especially when one is a bud bottle.

We will not be returning and we highly recommend everyone else go elsewhere too. This was a really, incredibly disappointing date night and $60...

I will never eat at this restaurant again! My family and I were looking to grab something quick to eat tonight March 6, 2014, and decided to try Senor Tequila. The chips and dip were okay but the entrees were horrible. I had the build your own combo and chose a burrito, taco, and enchilada, which were served with yellow rice and beans. I took one bite into the enchilada and was mortified. Not only was the food anything from delicious I ended up throwing up in the bathroom before leaving. The waiter came by to ask how the food was and before I could say anything he answered his own question by saying “horrible,” and I nodded to agree with him. He then proceeded to grab the plate and threw it away, so it was my assumption, that he took the platter off the tab, which he didn’t and that was fine. But perhaps what was most devastating about the night was the fact that the owner told me in a very derogatory manner not to come back to the restaurant if I did not like the food, and walked away. The waiter returned with the card and I told him that I would like to speak to the owner because I did not appreciate the manner that he spoke to me in, he returned with the same nasty attitude and told me to leave. I had every intention on returning to the restaurant in hopes of trying something different that I might enjoy, but the way he spoke to me was unnecessary. If every restaurant owner told patrons to not return every time they criticize the food they probably would not be in business. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone because for an owner to speak to a guest like that shows he does not appreciate the people who choose to spend their...
