Wow! We had the best server ever at Outback Steakhouse!
Tonight (Monday 12/5/21) after doing some car shopping we stopped by the Outback...I'm so glad we did because we had the best server ever, Carlos! Originally we were met by Jonathan but unfortunately the bar got extremely busy and Jonathan had to pass us off to Carlos...We couldn't have asked for a better server! (Jonathan did make a point to stop by and say Hi ever so often and even though he couldn't serve us, he truly made us feel welcomed)
Carlos was on point with his service! He brought us bread, refills, etc and all without asking. I ordered the Steak salad with medium rare steak, when Carlos brought my salad, he noticed the steak was more medium to well done. He offered to have the back make another one, but I said I was fine with the steak. You could tell it bothered Carlos the way my steak was cooked...Next thing I know a few minutes later, Carlos returned to our table with a new steak for my salad! How AWESOME is that! Oh my goodness...the steak was so good!
The food was AMAZING! My husband had the Prime Rib which was cooked to PERFECTION! I had the salad which was PERFECT and our son had a cheeseburger which as you can guess was PERFECT!
The food was great, but the service provided by Carlos was OUTSTANDING! Carlos is the epitome of EXCELLENT GUEST SERVICE! Please make sure he is recognized for his EXEMPLARY SERVICE!
We are from the Space Coast side of Florida, so I don't know when we will back to Tampa, but you can guarantee when we come back, we will ask for CARLOS!
Thank you Carlos and Outback Steakhouse for an WONDERFUL dining experience!

Read moreJust left at approximately 6:08 pm on Wednesday July 10th with my two toddlers and my elderly mother. We experienced the worst time at this establishment. Propiter/Owner Timothy Shuk verbally insulated and reprimanded our server Ashley, by the bar just next to our table. He raised his voice at her and the meeting then ended and as our server walked away from the "meeting" and she was clearly upset. Shortly thereafter we asked another waitress that had our food, that we turned down, that we would like to see our waitress. Our waitress came out and so did the employe she was training and we told her that we would like to have our check and that we don't support public reprimands. The proprietor, stood there, and our waitress walked away to check on her other table And the owner/proprietor walked over to our table and said that he apologized and was saying that he was just joking with her and that he had known her for seven years from a previous employer. And that he was just joking with her. From the customer standpoint, he seemed angry and you could tell he was by the way that he raised his voice. I only caught a part of the conversation and it was about. How could she take six tables and all of the high tops and manage the bar all by herself and it's not fair to other employees. That part I clearly got. Being in a human resource background, his behavior towards his employee was inappropriate. What I've always told my managers and directors is that we praise in public, reprimand in private. We will not support an establishment where the employees are being verbally abused and I urge you to...
Read moreMost of the food was pretty good. My adult daughter's alfredo sauce was a little weird, imho, but she enjoyed it. The real problem is that I ordered a Prime Rib sandwich and tasted the not Au Jus which was clearly french onion soup (see pictures for those onions) and didn't taste the sandwich but packed it up for home. Had I known what was served to me, I would have sent it back. Keep reading. The next day, I was shocked to find overcooked gristly roast (I never heated it). It was dry and full of gristle. It looked and tasted like a cheap cut of roast that someone didn't know how to cook. It 100% wasn't prime rib. I make Prime Rib at home regularly, and I'm not very good at it . It's still always tender and full of flavor even though I still overcook it. This was roast. Cheap roast. This was completely unacceptable. Why are they serving something and calling it something else. I was not just disappointed but also a bit angry. I felt completely duped. I should've taken a bite while at the restaurant, but I was full from my salad and bloomin onion. In the end, it's still on Outback for being 100% deceptive. I feel ripped off. I ended up cutting up the meat and giving it to the cats outside. That's an expensive treat...
