Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Florida

I just threw up eating here. I simply ordered a medium coke, tater tots and a corn dog. I picked up a tator tot and I started eating it, immediately there was something off and the oil was all over my mouth, I drove to the parking lot over to the right by the loop, opened my door and threw up all on the side of my car, this one single tator tot was drenched in oil. I bent my head and vomitted, I couldn't get the oil out of my mouth.I turned my light on and all the tator tots were covered in oil. I grabbed a different tator tot and I couldn't, it was all drenched in oil ..I turned my light off and sat there and waited for my stomach too calm down, I drank the coke to make the residue go away...i sat there for a few seconds but I felt sick and decided to drive home, when I got home , i opened my door and threw up again in my driveway...i reverse and went back and I returned the whole order.A different girl with black long braids came to the door and I said this food is drenched in oil and I just threw up and I showed her my car. I gave her the receipt and at the same time, another male came up and handed food back to the girl and I handed my food back to her at the same time..she looked like she didn't know what to do...two people at the same time returning orders...I gave her the receipt and she took it and she came back and said they were going to refund, I gave her back the coke because she asked for it, I said you can take everything back ...I asked for the the manager and he came out and said he couldn't give me a copy of the voided receipt, he said: I just work here, and the girl started laughing when he said ' I just work here' ... I said because you work here, and your the manager, you should know how to operate this place. He said uh uh ..well...he said ...I can have you not come back here again. I walked away and got in my car because I felt sick like I was going to vomit again ..he was getting angry also and was stuttering , maybe a disability but that wasn't the problem, he was getting agitated when I asked if he can provide the refunded copy and he said no...i couldn't stand there anymore, I felt like my stomach had taken in and drank oil..I felt sick and I thought I was going to throw up again...when he said ' I just workhere'. He was trying to be funny, I assume but not the time to joke around when I'm trying to tell you that this batch of tator tots have excessive amounts of oil for this batch.He also said...I will make sure you don't come back here again ..I started to walk away because I was feeling sick again ...and I showed the vomit to the girl and she looked ...you don't have to tell me twice. My stomach is so sick 🤢 right now. I feel like I drank a bottle of vegetable oil...my fingers feel like they were placed in a pot of oil...I don't even want to think of Sonic.... throwing up twice and now I feel like this is going to continue....I will never go back to this Sonic ever again...you physically made me sick.i even showed the girl in my car where I threw up because it was all over the side step because when I opened the door , I barely opened it and my head bent over...and I vomitted. I really didn't want to stand and talk anymore ...I was too sick and it's only been 20 minutes and I can't 🤢 I never want to visit this Sonic again. My hands smell like oil...my mouth tastes of oil, my stomach is turned upside down, I can't get this taste out of my mouth, some of the tator tots were burned at the bottom.The level of grease on this item was not just a normal amount; it was excessive and poorly managed, indicating a lack of proper food preparation standards or oversight. It was incredibly disappointing to receive food that was so poorly cooked, to the point where it posed a health concern rather than being a satisfying meal. I frequent this Sonic but No More. I come here Alot for the drinks and have seen most of these employees and they seen me and recognized me...but right now I'm too sick to write anymore.🤢 And I just hope my stomach is better by tomorrow and I don't even know...

I tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt since you pretty much expect poor customer service when going to fast food restaurants these days but the employees here somehow manage to take it to a whole new level.

Every time I've parked to place an order at one of the kiosks they will either never respond or ask me to wait a moment before completely forgetting about me and taking orders from other people that parked after my arrival. Half the time they make excuses claiming their system is down and they can't take any orders. The drive thru is no better. Today was the third time that I pulled up to the speaker to put my order in and they never respond when I can see them in the restaurant looking out the window at me. Perhaps you should consider hiring some employees that are actually willing to do their job.

The food is very hit or miss. Sometimes it will be decent and somewhat fresh. Sometimes you can tell that the chili cheese fries were made hours ago and have just been sitting there getting stale. When I'm lucky enough to actually get food the order is constantly wrong or missing items. The cream slushes are disgusting and you can tell the machine hasn't been cleaned because whenever I order a strawberry cream slush there will be little bits of other fruit and chocolate mixed in as well. One time there was just crushed ice in the cup with no ice cream or fruit.

The location is filthy and run down. Several of the ordering kiosks are out of order. There's always trash all over the property.

Instead of copy and pasting the same response to all the negative reviews how about you actually address the problems at this location. We shouldn't have to escalate complaints to the franchise owner. That's your job...

This location is a waste of time and money. I'm done...

Me and my boyfriend have given this location so many chances but it’s so bad. Tell me why 9 times out of 10 I receive my frozen drink unblended. I order the lemon cream cooler and they have pure lemonade at the bottom every time with the ice cream plopped on top. The ice cream is so thick that when I get home and use a spoon to stir it won’t even mix and it’s truly frustrating. Also they have no urgency whatsoever today I’ve been waiting 30 minutes for 3 drinks and I’m still in line as I write this. We went around back through the drive thru after 20 minutes and they said they had it ready and we left. (We just went back around and there was no one walking out to give us stuff we watched) so after this encounter we assumed it was ready and we were going to get it cause they said it was ready right? No we waited another 10 minutes and after that the guy came up to our door with no drinks saying we’re understaffed and didn’t apologize it was more of complaining. I work in fast food and I understand you can have bad days where you’re understaffed but I’ve been going here a year now and it’s like this every time we always wait 20 minutes minimum for normally 2 drinks and there’s usually no one in the parking lot. Oh and he forgot our name after asking for it twice so obviously he wasn’t working on it like he said he was. Also there was one time they ignored us on the drive thru microphone because they didn’t feel like answering. What is up with this...
