Sonny's BBQ — Restaurant in Florida

Edit: (2nd) went back to Sonny's. Got the pick 3 and sandwich big deal. Pick 3 was awesome. Cheese curds dried way to long. Ruban dint touch it. It was drippin out the bottom and sides with what looked like diryha. And just greasy to the touch. 🤮. Gave fries to the kids, and threw up, looking at that mess dropping out the bottom of the sandwich and gushing out the sides. (1st) We always go to Sonny's, when we go back to Jackson county. We moved to Alabama from greenwood. We either go to Marianna, or Tallahassee. But this last visit we went on Monday. We ordered, we ate, Food was delicious. I gave the waitress my money and ticket, and asked for to go boxes and a bag. She left came back gave the box and bag. No change. So I'm waiting, I've stacked up our table, picked up my toddlers fries off the floor took all 3 kids to the bathroom. And still no change. It was flooding outside, so we started shuttling the kids to the car. Because we had to be at Renee's by 1:30 and we needed time to safely get their in the flooding rain. I asked the cashier up front if we could get our change, I said my ticket was 56.50 I gave 60.50 and din't get my change. I don't know when it became standard practice for the waitress to keep your change. She had me pont out our waitress. Then she went to the back and a bit later came back with the 4 dollars. I was going to leave 10 dollars on the table like normal tipping. But after that I really dint wanna tip anything, I gave the cashier 2 dollars to give her and left. That puts a bad taste in your mouth. It was silence no I'm sorry, no excuse or what could of happened to why she never gave it to us, or nothing. Just silence..our waitress stayed in the back. Our local Sonny's recently remodeled so we went to look and get a taste of the menu. They were busy but not over crowded. Sonny's is keeping every other table opened. Staff were all masked. The menu is clear and new. Sadly, after we sat down and ordered our drinks we were informed the fryer was being cleaned and nothing fried was available. We didn't mind but many other groups left. Would of been nice to get the fried pickles. Seems odd Sunday early evening they clean the fryer. We saw over 10 people leave because no fried foods.

Our food came within a decent amount of time. Happy the sound wasn't loud with hiw many people were there. Good acoustics. Food was delicious. Only problem I had was the glass was very heavy for me. Too heavy for me to hold but Bill had no problem. All was going great..then they came and picked up our card to pay. We watched her run the card then leave. Went to the kitchen into a pantry or something in the back. Then a few minutes later come back out and went to the right in the kitchen. Almost 8 minutes later she came back. I questioned why she didn't bring our card back directly. She offered to get the manager. A man came from the back claiming to be the manager. We explained how uncomfortable we felt. He said she was trusted and nothing happened. He would talk with her. We left. We will keep an eye on our account. Thinking hard about going back. Kinda...

Worst dinning experience in my life. Waitress very rude. Walled away from my family's table. After we asked about the seafood being mentioned,on the menu, but no seafood was actually on the menu. Waited an additional 15 minutes for her to return, after she said she would return, very rudely. Ended up having to order from hostess, who was cleaning tables.I Then asked to speak with M.O.D. She came out with poor attitude as well, barely listening to our complaint. Then in a manner that was obviously fake, gave us a poor excuse of an apology. Then we continued to wait, still our original server/waitress had not returned to our table. Then one of the cooks(Chad) I believe was his name, brought out our food. He apologized and was the only one that sounded sincere. And was the only one that was helpful. He did a great job. At this point we had been waiting 45 minutes on our food and about 30 minutes on our refills, in which he took care of. The fries were cold on one plates and the ribs had hard edges on them, very tough. Overall experience was very poor. With exception of the cook. I do not plan on returning any time soon, as both me and my nephew were there to calibrate our birthday together as it falls on the same day. Thanks a lot for ruining our evening with such a bad...
