Tonight we wanted to try our first Indian restaurant and since we were in the area, we discovered this restaurant on YELP. We have had a few Indian dishes before and enjoyed so tonight we ordered Lamb Kerman’s Samosas - Indian spices, seasoned lamb, wrapped in a light pastry ($4.99), Paneer Makhani ($12.99)which is home made cheese cubes simmered in classic makhani sauce and we also ordered Chicken Korma ($13.99)which is chicken breast pieces cooked in a creamy cashew and almond sauce. Both of these are served with basmati rice on the side. The server asked if we liked spicy and we told her we preferred mild. The Samosas were very mild and we added a side sauce to ours. Oh my goodness, both of these main dishes were so very flavorful. The Makhani sauce had a nice sweetness that was very enjoyable. The Chicken Korma was also really tasty. We really enjoyed both fairly equally. For dessert we ordered Gulab Jamun ($3.99) which are soft fried milk dumplings in cardamom and rise water scented syrup. They reminded me of a soft fluffy donut holes in a delightful warm sauce. The restaurant is a good size with plenty of tables and booths. There are a couple of large televisions playing Indian movies and there is a nice calming Indian music playing. Since we are still in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, we don’t dine out much at all but tonight we had the restaurant to ourselves. They offer carryout orders also. The total for two of us was $44.69 We will be returning to try more of this expansive menu. We are definitely fans and recommend this restaurant.

Very pleased with the food and service. All of my food was flavorful and enjoyable; service was attentive and caring. For everything we ordered, the waiter asked what spice level we wanted. Me not being the smartest guy asked for ‘spicy’ chili chicken and it was truly spicy. I had to order milk with my dinner but the waiter was truly nice about it. They offered to make another version that was less spicy for me but I respectfully declined. Not the chefs fault that I ordered that wrong spice level. Service was great, food was solid! The Tika masala was great, slightly different than I’m used to but quite flavorful. The $7 wine glass was a bit small for my liking; next time I’ll just order the bottle. Other than that, we had a great experience. I would absolutely come back.

The one thing I liked about this place is that they have actual booster seats for toddlers, as opposed to high chairs.

Unfortunately, the food does not have the depth of flavor that you would expect from the dishes that attempt to emulate the culinary arts of the Punjab region. The flavor profiles cater to western tastes and lack authenticity, although they do use actual tandoors for their grilled selections. Some of the items like the yellow kadi have a conflicting sweetness present and is devoid of the richness of spice, coriander seeds, and dried red pepper+cumin that the dish is traditionally tempered with. It was a distortion of tradition. However, their take on the vegetable pakoda was a success. It accomplishes the extra crispy texture by shredding the vegetables instead of using chopped vegetables.

The meats do not possess flavor beneath the coating of bland but spicy marinade. This was especially evident with the salmon. This suggests to me that there was an inadequate marination period. Furthermore, Indian cuisines seek to tantalize the senses with complementary but also contrasting flavor profiles, which is known as “chatpat”, you may know this as umami. It was all but absent from the food at Spice Indian Grill.

The food takes a very long time to prepare, suggesting it is fresh, but the service is inattentive and forgetful. I would suggest you...

The only reason I am giving a POOR RATING is due to their new staff. Their food has nothing to do with the rating. They seem to have changed their staff recently and everyone is extremely rude and thoroughly u professional.

The official closure time of their buffet is 3 pm but they refuse to seat anyone at 2:30 pm itself and this "closing" time also applies to their to-go or a la carte. Might as well revise the official closure time for everyone to 2:30 pm.

If you come for a dine-in at 2:10 pm, they would seat you in by “setting expectations” that you need to finish your meal by 2:45 pm. And by 2:30 pm they would stop refilling any food items getting over in the buffet and also wind up food on buffet stall. Lights would be switched off indicating people to leave. So basically you pay for the buffet but won’t get to eat anything beyond 2:30 pm.

This is the first Indian serving restaurant I have seen and come across which is so unprofessional and is literally ready to close its doors to its customers. And kind it, this change has just been very recent. They were very friendly and approachable people earlier. Someone in the management really needs to look at the staff and provide them some basic customer experience training on how to treat people in a...
