St Angelo's Pizza and Wings — Restaurant in Florida

I am giving 5 stars BEFORE my order this weekend!

The last time I was there, the food was honestly horrible.

I did not want to embarrass this Buffalo Pizza place as I was born and raised in Buffalo! That and they wouldn't allow me to give negative stars!

However the pizza did not even taste like Buffalo pizza and the guy working said it was because Florida has different "water" to make the pizza dough!

I questioned the typical flat pepperoni that was on the pizza and the guy first said "that IS the original Buffalo pepperoni ". Ummmm nope! It was NOT Buffalo pepperoni at that time. Then he stated he "couldn't get Buffalo pepperoni. "

Wait? What? Ummmm there's a place in Bradenton on SR64 that has Buffalo Pepperoni! There is also The Landing in Valrico that us Buffalo people flock to for Buffalo food and they HAVE Buffalo pepperoni! So do they NOT deliver to New Port Richey?

Needless to say, I am taking my family out sometime this weekend to give it another try!

Why? Duh! I am a Buffalonian! We stick together and over look our differences!

Crossing my fingers yous guys will rock it this time!

I will be fixing my review accordingly!

Again, food was HORRIBLE!

Pizza was THIN!

Pepperoni was FLAT!

Wings were SMALL with very little sauce (I am talking some of the wings had bare spots with NO sauce at all!)

Child's Burger was RAW!

Fish Fry was well kind of unexplainable!

But hey!

The Rootbeer was GREAT.

AND our waitress was FANTASTIC!

Okay I'm saying one star for customer service. I order at 9pm a lot because I work in south Tampa and don't get home until around 9 and it seems like every time I do order at 9 the people get so mad even though I'm always there by 945 and they close at 10pm and just act like it's such a big hassle to even stay 15 minutes before they close. Today is September the 8th and the guy working tonight was extra rude, I asked my girlfriend to pick it up because I was running a few minutes late and she was there out front doesn't know to go to the side of the building and when I called the guys that was working he acting like she was a idiot and I was being inconvenient because again I asked him to stay 10 minutes before they close when the pizza was done he just had to hand it to her. Made her feel super uncomfortable. I got here a few times a month for a while when I'm in town or want something good and fast but for this I won't be returning. Lost a valuable customer over rudeness and making a big deal out of a taking until what your website says. Also want to say the older lady that works there is super nice and welcoming nothing rude to say about her and also chick that makes the pizza she's cool too....

A Menza half visit over all. Called in an order for their 'special' SUPPOSED TO BE 15 wings, a 15 slice pizza and 15 garlic knots for $26.99. Place my order and am given a total of $38 and some change due to 'market value' on the wings. Wellll, then it's not quite a $27 dollar special then, is it? Definitely need some fine print added on that 'special'. Running market price on the wings I understand, but a special, should be just that. I get home and open a box of the saddest wings I've ever seen. There is absolutely NO SAUCE! While they did have pretty good flavor, they were extremely dry, I mean ,no sauce to them what so ever. Garlic knots had very little flavor, was definitely not impressed in that department. I hadn't ordered here in years, heard it hasld gone down hill but, had a craving for their wings, but was surely disappointed. I don't think I'll be giving st. Angelo's another try after this. I'll stick with getting suaced wings, wonderful pizza, and flavorful garlic knots from LEANING TOWER OF PIZZA! the longest running restaurant in the county for a reason! Go see Carl for your pizza and wings. Not a bad place, but sadly not at all what...
