During a horrible sideways pelting rain and lightning storm, I was #5 in line at the drive-thru at the Siesta Key location, store#28863. I tried to open my window but rain was pelting in. But most importantly, it was the lightning strikes around the store that scared me, so I when I got to the window, I told them why I drove through w/o stopping, and tried to order a latte. Sunny, the supervisor said it wasnāt allowed, and that I had to go back around in the pouring down rain, pull out into a weird parking lot, and then became #8 in line (because now there were 2 more cars ahead of me. In the time that we spent exchanging words, my latte could have been made. It was a horrible storm. That is not corporateās policy - Yes, I called! We were 6-feet apart, and in fact I had been wearing a mask in my car, until I took it off to question her because I was incredulous that she was making me drive through again. Even after I told her that a family member had been killed by a lightning strike, she kept saying, āThis is our policy because of Covid.ā We were definitely 6-feet apart, as I was in my car, and she was wearing a mask. Her logic made zero sense. Not only was she not compassionate, she would not make an exception during a horrible lightning and sideways rain storm, which is what an experienced manager would have done. Sometimes thereās the need for exceptions, which a saavy manager recognizes. So because of the lightning and the pelting rain into my car, she punished me by making me go back through.//Last week in Naples, I ordered an iced tea. When I got to the window, I realized I also needed a cappuccino. I asked if I could order it - yes, of course. This chick in Siesta Key wasted time, and put me in danger. And she is the face of this Starbucks. I canāt imagine what she does when customers come into the store. She has zero common sense. Iām in town for a week; I will not go back to this Starbucks.//It was just on the news - someone was killed during this lightning storm in Siesta Key Thursday night, but the manager Sunny didnāt take into...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt one point I would have said this was a great store- unfortunately the last few times I have come in it has been terrible. The crew that once used to be happy and upbeat look worn out and sad. I guess the person I can only assume is their manager Gail has been a terrible experience- she isnāt welcoming, I have heard her yell and get short with not only staff, but the customers- I had once asked for them to remake a drink and she huffed about it and made a scene about it. I used to come to this Starbucks when I would come to this part of town but now avoid it. Gail, is one of the most inconsiderate, naive, and manipulative sounding humans- maybe just maybe lead with compassion and this store will be what it once was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsually I have great service but as of lately they decide to close their doors 15-30 minutes before the listed closing time. Itās happened multiple times now where me and about 3 others are outside trying to figure out and get their attention and they ignore us.
Definitely an awful experience. And going to corporate about it. If your listed to close at 8pm and I get there at 7:40pm and everything is locked and all the employees are standing there ignoring everyone outside. Thatās terrible service. The least you could do is come out and explain to people why you closed and arenāt taking orders. Itās...
