Last night in the area and decided to eat out one last time and landed in Steamboat Grill. Overall it was a good experience but let’s start with the cons - it was pretty hot inside even though it was later in the day and sun was going down, felt a little over priced, the seafood platter was heavy on the crawfish and very few options that weren’t fried. The pros - they do have a full bar and the bartender made a solid skinny margarita and the food was tasty. We started with appetizers of the shrimp wraps and Oyster Rockefeller. Both were very good. Note that the sweet and sour sauce served with the shrimp wraps wasn’t really sweet but rather spicy. It was good but be prepared for spicy instead of sweet. The shrimp platter was a solid serving of butterflied shrimp that were perfectly fried. The seafood platter was also a solid choice which included fried shrimp, fried fish and fried crawfish. We would have preferred there be more of either the shrimp or fish. The slaw served was yummy and not too much mayonnaise. The hush puppies were also on point. They were short staffed when we visited but our server still did a fabulous job. He (and all staff) were all working very hard to make sure guests had what they needed. Overall good experience and thankful for a good seafood meal before...

Waiter not able to answer what comes on the salad. This was important bc i was ordering for my 12 yr and he doesnt like certain things. I ordered a side salad with caesar dressing. I was given a caesar salad. I told him i didn't order a caesar salad, he told me I had. He took it back to the kitchen, brought it back and told me that i had ordered it and left it on the table. Waiter never filled our waters. I had to go to the bar to refill my kids sodas. First i went up with a dr. Pepper and then when i returned to get a diet coke the bartender said " you said dr. Pepper". He refilled it and placed it at the far end of the bar rather than just handing it back to me. The meals were delivered all except my husbands. I flagged the waiter down and told him my husband didnt get his food. He asked us if we had ordered it???? My husband got his food as we were finishing ours. I told the waiter the service was not okay and told him about the salads, me having to get up and ask the jerky bartender for refills, forgetting my husband's meal and the server said he cannot control the kitchen and bartender. Food was okay but I would never return just from the service...

We came here for lunch and the place was nearly empty but we still waited almost 20 minutes to be helped. The food was criminally overpriced, but I guess that’s par of the course for 30A. Also, they refused to make any substitutions. The food itself was mediocre at best. I would compare it to the quality of a Shrimp Basket, but much more expensive. They did seem to be short staffed, but again the place was nearly empty and the service was still awful. Food took nearly an hour to come out, and we sat with empty plates for nearly 15 minutes before anyone asked if we were ready for the check. Our server never asked to top off our waters, and generally just seemed aloof. However, the most off-putting part of all was they automatically included gratuity (on the taxed total) on our party of FIVE; I’m assuming this is because they knew we wouldn’t leave a great tip (if any) if they didn’t. If you’re going to spend an outrageous amount of money at a restaurant on 30A, I would advise you do it...

It has a bar atmosphere. As a party of five we were sat quickly enough but this place is uber pricey for what's being served. Server was somewhat attentive. I'd like them to just tell you up front "We take cash or you pay the credit card fee". As a merchant if you don't want to pick up the slight fees that credit cards charge just tell people up front and see what happens to business. Either your place will be unstoppable and folks will know to show up with bags of cash or not. The crab balls may have been the best part of the meal, but the $13 Caesar salad has the size of a pub and price of semi fine dining, steamboat burger not worth $18, redfish sandwich and fried fish poboy was fine but not $21 worth and the $9 grilled cheese?! I know it's an inflationary economy, but damn that's a lot of sour dough bread and sliced cheddar. We can say that we've been but probably won't be back only because there are better options in the area for $118 (including fee before tip). 🫤

The menu had somewhat limited options for seafood given that it's a seafood restaurant, but the food was good. The service here was friendly. The atmosphere was more of a bar than a restaurant. This was the first restaurant we ate at in the area and we were a bit surprised by the prices. We felt like they were really expensive. After eating a few other places in the area, we see that it is in line with prices for the area. However, it still is more expensive than we like to spend for dinner. For two entrees, an appetizer and two sodas it cost over $100. For us it was roadhouse bar atmosphere with gourmet prices. The seafood was good but it wasn't memorable. The Korean barbecue was very good! Given they are very proud of the owner being Korean, it seems like maybe they should shift their focus to a Korean food restaurant because the Korean food was excellent!
