Tacos Gone Mobile — Restaurant in Florida

I went at Friday night, they where busy, and ended up waiting 25 minutes for my food, it certainly smelled good so I hoped the wait was worth it. I was disappointed, I ordered a Torta Al Pastor, chicken quesadilla, 2 chicken tamales and 2 tacos, one steak and one tongue. This was a To go order.

The Torta, was by far the most disappointing item, it was just some loose meat on a crappy burger bun, reminded me of a caffeteria sloppy joe made with taco/shawarma seasoning the bread was mush by the time I got home. The Best Tortas are served in a Bolillo, this was at best a toasted large size burger bun.

The Tamales where dry, bland and barely any color and technically warm, it tasted like mazeca filled with boiled chicken, and warmed in a microwave? Or kept warm in a dry covered pot, too dry to have been steamed, unless it was done the day before.

The Quesadilla was Ok, the chicken was tiny little bits, that had bee over cooked to a chewy texture, it was seasoned well but the cheese really save it on this one , hard to mess up chicken and cheese in a folded tortilla, but this was only an acceptable quesadilla.

I ordered the Tongue Taco regular, and that was pretty good, The Tongue was tender and flavorful, seasoned just right. fresh cilantro and nicely minced onions, ok tortillas but it's hard to keep them fresh once the pack is opened even for a few hours. My Girlfriend agreed her steak taco supreme was also good and the best part of the meal.

Usually I don't dislike this place, everything that I ordered comes the way I asked for it. But ever since they brought the old guy from the other venue, orders don't come the way it's supposed to when ordered. Yesterday I was looking for a great taco, and as I was telling him my order, he got that blanc expression on his face even though I was speaking his native language wich is Spanish. I still get my order wrong, I knew that he would mess it up.

I would normally give this place a 5 stars, since I've been coming since a year now, but that guy ruin this good place rating. I would change my rating if he gets training and show's up the results or take him away.

New Review: I'm coming back to see if the changes were done or they made any changes at all, I stumble upon a huge crowd. I ordered the same as last time. I had tripe tacos and tongue tacos and they actually were packed full, like I cannot close the freaking taco. Also that hot sauce (the red one) it actually got a little bit better and little bit spicier, and it was a really nice pleasant experience that reminded me the way that I fell in love with tacos at the first time. And also they are working to always improve since the last time I visited the place, making a new review since I like the location and what they have. DO NOT VISIT THE LOCATION IN UNIVERSITY MALL!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL & IGNORANT customer service! First off let me start by saying I have been a regular at the food truck for years. However, I went to order a couple of tacos at the mall location and they literally put three tiny cubes of meat inside them for $2.69 plus tax. When I took the tacos back to the counter the two girls begin to argue amongst each other about correcting the problem. When I asked what the issue was, the girl at the register told me that she had no power to correct any problems and she was was not going to argue with her co worker over it. The girl then told me she needed to pick up the phone and call the manager on HIS CELLPHONE (who was at home or walking around the mall by the way) to see if he would allow her to add chicken to the tacos ... NOW HOW FIGGIN STUPID IS THAT! I simply told her trash the entire order and give me all my money back. How wasteful and stupid is it for you to trash the entire order and lose a customer for life than to correct the simple problem! NEVER AGAIN WILL I VISIT...
