The service, ye ask? Aye, the crew here be friendly and quick with a smile, treatin’ ye like the captain ye are. They know just how to handle yer... order, whether it be large or small, and they’re more than happy to oblige any special requests.

Arrr, but careful, lads and lasses, ye may end up spendin' more time here than ye ever intended, gettin' lost in the pleasures...

We hadn't been here in months, despite being a 20 year customer due to the business being on the decline and the feeling of pure neglect. Well that was under Matt's ownership. When we heard that there were new owners we were curious to see if there was a difference and immediately upon walking in today we could see and feel the difference! Wow, what a fabulous job these new owners have done with reviving this ice cream shop. It just feels so welcoming with the new paint and definitely cleaner! The ice cream is still the same recipes so you can still get the great flavors that you've come to love from the old Tanya and Matt's just in a better environment. The ice cream today was not melting and was very yummy. And there are even printed labels to let you know the ice cream flavors. I absolutely love the new menu on the wall!! So modern and clean. Even the register is modern and touch screen.
Realizing that this is still a work in progress as the business needed lots of work from being neglected over the years but if you're like me and stopped going, please rethink your decision and go back. You'll definitely be impressed! Now it was the care and love that it needed and this is clearly shown in just the hour I spent here today. Spoke to the new owners and they are excited about everything and has great plans for reviving this place and we are definitely excited about it. They are clearly focused on a great customer experience--I found out about the new ownership through a message from them on my old Yelp review (that I never received any feedback on previously). So I knew from that response that this was the time to give this place another chance. And we will definitely be back A LOT!!
It's great when small family businesses are successful and are around from when you were growing up to even after your kids grow up. Now I'm hopeful that I can one day share the ice cream shop I went to while dating my now husband with my...
Read moreI got a coupon for resigning my apartment lease. Decided to try it today. So I go in and my first impression was that the store was very dingy and smelly. (I honestly thought about turning around and leaving right then but I know holes in the wall can sometimes impress with their product. Not the case here.) There was a nasty couch shoved in the corner as soon as you open the door and you could barley move around it. The entire store just felt dirty and not up to health code. I just wanted to order my icecream and get the hell out which I seemed like the employees felt the same way about the customers in line in front of me and myself. I absolutely have to agree with the other customer's comments 110% about the employees. I have never experienced such poor customer service. Everything the other comments had stated happened to me today too. The two female employees on staff today could have given a damn less about the customers or the cleanliness of their workplace or their jobs. I debated whether or not to pretend like I was a secret shopper and tell them they were going to get fired tomorrow just to see if they would appologize for their attitudes... I don't reccommend this place to anyone. The icecream is nothing special at all and for the price and quality of a single scoop you would be better off going to publix and buying a pint of Ben and jerrys. I will not be surprised when I see their doors close and the space for rent sign comes up in their window. A shame people can't run a good mom and pop business anymore. Everyone needs an instruction manual and a hand hold these days to be successful business owners. John Taffer needs to do an ice cream parlor rescue on this dump. Tanya and Matt, first thing you need to do is fire your staff, then clean up your damn restaurant and reconsider your menu and pricing. You need a niche or your going...
