The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Florida

My husband picked up a ham I ordered this week. We had a coupon for $7 off $50+ ham. The ham was not large a little over 6# but for 2 people should have been fine. He looked at the ham and thought it was fine. The store had squared off the ham with a cut. Never had a ham look like that. After you got through the first 4 pcs. then you could see the ham slices looked course with a lot of marbling of fat. I will tell you, I could have not displayed that ham on a tray for a party. But not only that, the tenderness of the ham was not the quality of past hams. We ordered a large ham for xmas 2014 and were not impressed at the normal tenderness of the ham. This last ham was to be the test as to whether we would buy anymore HBhams. We won't. When the quality of the ham you can get at Costco or Sam's is at least the same. Why spend twice as much. I was in the Port Charlotte area earlier this week so I decided to give this store a try. What a mistake! I ordered 1 pound of smoked turkey. When I questioned the $14.99 per pound price, the woman became rude and defensive. She told me that everything was more expensive now. When paying, I asked to make sure that I was getting smoked turkey, and I was assured that it was. No. It wasn’t! I ended up going to the Sarasota store for my ham because Pt. Charlotte wouldn’t slice me a pound of spiral-cut ham. Funny thing…ham and turkey were both $12.99 per pound there! I DO NOT RECOMMEND...

I was very disappointed to arrive late morning on New Year's Eve to pick up the ham I had reserved on-line. At the store, I was told that they do not do on-line orders. The walk-in customer ahead of me purchased the last remaining ham of the type I had ordered. The counter gal checked with a young man in back who said he could get one ready. He did so however, it was not the quality I have come to expect from Honey Baked ham. I am most perturbed that the website directs me to place the order, sends me a confirmation and then, come to find out this store doesn't follow...
