Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Florida

I have been to this Tijuana Flats location MANY times over the last ten years, and I've never had a complaint--until today. I almost always order the same thing, a blackened chicken salad. Well, today the salad that was delivered to my plate was unrecognizable. It was in a flat shell, for one, with about an inch of "salad" on top of it. When I complained (because a customer at a nearby table had just received a normal-looking salad), it was explained, twice, that this is the "to go" salad, and they were out of shells at 1:30 in the afternoon. Then, when I took a bite, I realized the salad is ENTIRELY shredded iceberg lettuce. The menu states "mixed greens," but I can guarantee there wasn't a single mixed green on my whole shell full of shredded lettuce. It was nasty, and despite the nationwide issue with romaine lettuce, it might be a good idea to inform customers who order a salad that they're going to get something completely unrecognizable. Not only that, but no apologies, no nothing. After ten years as a loyal customer, I have no plans to go back to this location. I guess they're lucky the hospital will be opening soon 'cause then the restaurant will finally be busy, and no one will notice the decrease in quality and customer service. ...

I tried Tijuana Flats for the first time several years ago in Tampa, and we loved the food we got there. On return trips to Tampa, we always ate there because we found some of the chain's other locations didn't measure up. This location in Bonita Springs was the best of them all, now that we stopped here. First of all, it shares a building with a Lee County Sheriff's operations center. We felt very safe and comfortable in the presence of all the deputies in the area. The store itself was immaculate. Everything was clean and new looking. The cashier and the kitchen staff that brought the food out to our table were very friendly and polite to us all. Our party took up a large table and ranged in age from preschoolers to seniors and all loved the meal. The hot sauce table has some interesting concoctions. As someone who never ventures beyond "mild", the sweet chili sauce was awesome. I like that chips and salsa are included in all meals. This is the way to go as some competitors in this market segment are not in line with this idea. It seems like Tijuana Flats has it right. I just wish all their locations were as good as this one in...

This was our first visit to Tijuana Flats in Estero, Fl, although we have been to others. This place is welcoming with its brightly painted walls of graphics, etc! We ordered at the counter after asking about today's special for $7.99; it was 2 tacos, chips & a Coke product soft drink. What a deal! Food was delivered as we were sitting down, so it was very fast! We chose our taco sauces at the sauce bar & enjoyed our meals. One big difference from the Daytona Tijuanas is that some tables weren't wiped off & we had to go to the counter for refills in our pop. It was not busy today, but the workers were friendly while helping us. 2/7/23 Visited the Estero Tijuana Flats again today. The restaurant was very clean, welcoming & Brite as before. We had the Taco Tuesday specials with soft & crunchy shells, chips & a Coke. Our food was delivered to our table within 3 minutes or less. We'll be back as thos location is close to our shopping area there. Great employees & kudos to good management who've clearly trained these good...
