If Hooters went into the beach area shaved ice business, this is what I'd expect it to look like. The servers are always usually very beautiful young girls wearing "beach" attire. Were this business in a less family-friendly community, single guys would flock to this place. As it is now, it stays pretty busy with families bringing their children. They arguably have some of the best shaved ice in NW Florida...definitely the best in Southern Santa Rosa, Escambia, and Okaloosa Counties, Florida. The syrups they use are not as pronounced as some small businesses in Santa Rosa (like Snow Biz Asper). Still, their syrups are 100% better than Kona Ice. Unlike their competitors, their fixed location is a huge plus since you don't have to hunt them up or worry about them leaving a place in a hunt for customers. However their real strong suit is their flavor combinations. OMG! They know how to mix flavors in a way that is thoughtful, elegant, and fun at the same time. You could literally have a different shaved ice everyday, for an entire year, and not exhaust their talent to creat new and compelling flavors. It is the perfect cross between overwhelming and...
Read moreLove these snocones. We cannot go to Destin without stopping here. We crave it!! Though I’m taking a star off because the girls have been pretty rude the last few times we’ve been. I would understand if it’s really busy but it wasn’t. I understand it’s probably hot out there and they’re most likely there all day, but they really have to work on being more friendly. You are the face of the business. How you act can determine whether or not people come back.. enough people decide they’re tired of it, they’ll find somewhere else or create their own. If someone creates an equally good place .. bye bye Tommy’s. People tend to have delusions of grandeur and think they can act however they want and people will still come... eventually they won’t. Another thing I’ve noticed over the past few times they’ve put less syrup in and this past time they forgot something off of my daughter’s. The boiled peanuts are good but a tad too salty. Let’s just work on the attitudes because the product is...
Read moreMy family and I were on vacation in Navarre and visited Tommy’s like four times! We tried flavors like blended frog, grape, black cherry, strawberry lemonade, wild cherry, hulk, a coffee flavor, peaches & cream, blackberry & cream, etc.! The only one someone didn’t like was chocolate mint, and they said they didn’t like the mint. The employees were always nice, & I always tipped! :) I do wish they had more fans for them in there. It was pretty hot a couple of days we went. We even got to enjoy the benefits of their loyalty cards, as there were six of us(although I only remembered it enough to get one for free LOL)! Highly recommend going here whether you’re on vacation or on a beach outing from home! Jumbos are $8(proved too big for me), Larges are $6, Mediums are $4(both good sizes), etc.! Side note: I don’t think they’re open when rain is forecasted all day(it probably isn’t worth it, & I don’t blame them! lol) Thanks for the sweet...
