My family and I (3) of us have been patrons of Toros since they opened. We supported their business since they opened in 2020 and throughout the COVID pandemic, at least once a week. We enjoy the food however our most recent visit to say the least was extremely disappointing. As a rule the food is generally very good, but on August 30th, we had a very upsetting and disappointing experience. We had 2 wait staff stop at our table at different times to find out how everything was and on both occasions we told them the seafood dish had a very pungent fishy taste and I was unable to eat it. At this point neither waiter addressed my issue. Upon leaving the restaurant we asked to speak with a manager. Kate (manager) came out to discuss our concerns at which time it was just myself and my cousin whose wife stepped outside there were 3 of us at dinner. Kate apologized and told us she would take care of us on our next visit. Our next visit was the follow week September 5th, 2021. Upon arriving at the restaurant, Kate recognized us brought us over to a table and we ordered dinner. Kate stopped by several times and asked if everything was ok. When the bill came there was a charge we didn’t recognize at which time we tried to find her and were told she left. We asked to speak to another manager, and were told there wasn’t another one. We asked to speak to the owner and were told there was no owner present. No one from management was available to discuss the bill. We were told we were being charged for an additional person who they claim was not part of the original visit back on August 30th. The disregard for the customer’s satisfaction from the start initiated this review. The fact that there was no one from management to discuss and resolve the issue was unacceptable. Instead of us leaving the restaurant happy and satisfied this became confrontational as we expressed our dissatisfaction and would not be returning at which point we were told OK! It is obvious that restaurant employees have such a lackadaisical attitude toward patrons it shows such disregard and respect. We will not...
Read moreFood is decent, service is not great. We went in cinco de mayo so I figured it would be busy. We were quoted 40 minutes which wasn’t horrible considering. So I went outside and waited. People started dwindling down. So I decided to go in and check how many more people we had ahead of us. I was advised there were 2 parties ahead of us. So I went back outside and waited. Mind you we were standing right by the door and the curtains were open and it was darker outside so we can see what’s going on inside. I watched them sit 4 parties, even though I was told only 2 were ahead of me… so I go in and check in again. She showed me her pad and cause she couldn’t find my name I pointed to it and this girl I was speaking with was the girl who wrote my name down when I initially arrived.. she goes ohh I thought this name was Aris? She couldn’t read her own writing I guess? She apologized and said she would sit me as soon as the next table comes up. So I go back outside and another 15 or so minutes go by I’m keeping an eye on what’s going on inside now. I see 3 or 4 different tables get up. Nothing is being cleaned… not sure if they’re understaffed or what. She finally comes out and calls ANOTHER NAME.. so I ask her about it she goes oh yes this table is only for 2 people we’re cleaning a table for you now.. so she goes and sits those 2. Now I’ve worked as a host for years and if you know you’ve already mistakenly skipped someone and you specifically told them they’ll be the next to be sat maybe you make it a priority to get them sat before sitting anyone else.. so we finally get sat the server was so slow! A table that was sat after us had their drinks before our server even came up to us… the server was unbelievably slow.. the food was alright and the service might be decent on another night I’m not sure. Just proceed...
Read moreThe restaurants claim to have authentic Mexican food is why I chose this for lunch. I waited in the small entrance for an uncomfortable amount of time. You could see a server/buser on the phone in the back area, she was looking at myself and the two others who walked in right before me for their pick up orders. Eventually I was given a table, chips and salsa by the young lady previously on her phone. The server was rushing around, working hard, and checking on me often. No complaints. The chips and salsa were pretty good. The salsa is a little watery for my personal preference. The chips were fresh, thin and very good. For I ordered the lunch portion of chicken fajitas for 12.99, found them to be reasonably priced. The portion was perfect. Over all I would say the fajitas were okay like a 3 and half out of 5. There seemed to be a lot of color of spice or on the chicken, but somehow lacked a lot of flavor. I liked the little tortilla bowls for the rice and beans however both were bland and tasteless. The rice was over cooked, mushy with no flavor. I tried a few bites and just ate the fajitas. I did enjoy the little plate with the toppings for the fajitas. Although the guacamole was actually just an avocado and it wasn't even mushed up very well. Maybe this was an off day but with all the choices I would probably try somewhere else if I was ever in...
