I was excited to try this newly opened Peruvian restaurant, I love Peruvian food and I was married to a Peruvian woman so I am very familiar with the food. We arrived around 630/7 and the place was empty. Ordered our food and mine came out wrong but was corrected, no problem. Food was the most bland Peruvian food I have ever had!!!! No flavor, rice/soup/seafood/beef all bland!!! I didn’t even want to eat it and I am by no means a picky eater, but i gave it a chance. The waitress was not around so I picked at it because I was starving. I spoke with the owner and he spoke to me like I was a moron and kept reminding me that this is Peruvian food; he continued to talk down to me after I tried to be nice and respectful. I know good Peruvian food and this was not it! He continued to tell me how long he’s been cooking and how many restaurants he has, sorry but that doesn’t excuse the horrible food and your rudeness. There are many other true Peruvian restaurants in the area, do yourself a favor and don’t go here!!!
Update: I find it funny that the owner mentions half the plate was empty, yes my girlfriend’s plate was half empty because it took quite some time to make my soup and we were both very hungry. Of course I got upset with him after he spoke down to me and like I had no clue what type of food I was eating or what restaurant I was in. He spoke to me like I was lost and could have no opinion on the food I was eating. Rather than being concerned and trying to remedy the situation he rattled off all of his supposed accolades as though his food is the best and he could do no wrong. Hate to break it to you but your restaurant was...
Read moreOrdered lomo saltado as take out with my wife. She is Peruvian from Peru and I have visited Peru with her. We both loved the food and flavors. We usually judge a new place based on their lomo saltado, and we will be back based on our experience. We particularly enjoyed how they separated the components for take out so the sauce did not make the fries soggy.
I am updating my review. The reasons are due to how long it takes them to prepare a take out order and getting our second take out order wrong after making us wait over an hour to get the food from the pick up time. The first time we did take out it was about 20-30min late but we overlooked it due to them being new and the food being good. This time it took an hour for the order to be produced and it was wrong. They gave us ti pa-kay and chi jau-kay without any vegetables and the chi jua-kay didn’t come with any sauce. $20 for just some chicken and only the ti pa-kay sauce. We wanted to like this place, but we will not...
Read moreMy family was here from NY. I’ve never ate at this restaurant and heard about it from a coworker. Defiantly not what I expected. Wasn’t really alot of customers and the guy not sure if he’s the owner stated they were short staff. I’ve been to several Peruvian Restaurants in the area, and I really liked it. I decided to try a new place with my family and was disappointed. I had the lomo saltado and the steak was extra chewy. I asked for extra lomo sauce and it was super salty as if it was soy sauce and added green onion. The portion was small. I wish them much success but I won’t be returning. The waitress was really nice...
