Hotbins is a chain of stores that recently opened in Florida. They buy up pallets of Amazon returns and overstock from Target, Walmart and Kohl's and then they sell the items in their stores. The sell a little bit of everything from linens, fragrance, appliances, home decor, candy, toys, and clothing. They could possibly have anything you can order from Amazon.
Depending on the day you visit affects the price you pay. The store is closed on Thursday. On Friday it is full of freshly stocked merchandise for $12. On Saturday the price drops to $10. Sunday $8 and so on. By Wednesday what is left is $2. They also have some big ticket items in the front of the store like a patio table set here that is priced at way more than the daily price but it still discounted. All sales are final so buyer beware.
In the bins you will find things that could be worth more than what they are charging that day and things that are worth way less. It is a mish mash of items at all price points and it is up to you to discern if you think it is worth the price they are charging that day. Mixed in the bins are items in brown boxes. Most likely these are the more expensive items. You are not allowed to open the boxes and you have to take them to a corner of the store where an employee will open the box for you. It is very frustrating to look at a box and have no idea what is in it and have to go through a process to open it but this store didn't have many of those mysterious boxes on the day I visited.
I previously visited the Sunrise location and was not very impressed. On that day the items left in the bins were worth way less than the $10 they were charging. I was passing by this location in Lake Worth and decided to give them another shot on a Saturday evening. This time I did much better. I ended up purchasing two hair styling tools, a wireless microphone to use at school, and a small heater, all for $10 each. Since this was my first time buying items with plugs I was a little skeptical that they would work. This is when I learned that you can also take anything that needs to be plugged in over the unboxing station to make sure it is functioning since all sales are final. I didn't want to wait in that line and after looking over my purchases Emily who was helping me determined the only one that might be questionable was the heater. She plugged it in at the register for me and I was good to go! I am happy to report everything works great. Thanks so much Emily for going the extra mile for me. You are a sweetheart!
I still want to go on Friday morning when they first put out the items but if I just happen to be passing by at a random time I would be willing to stop and see what they have. This time I saw a lot of holiday decorations, pet items, toys, and home decor. You are competing with the resellers so good luck. I checked what all of the items were going for on my phone before buying and I am happy with...
Read morePersonally I enjoy going through bins and finding things each week however, the place has issues that should be fixed and making it not pleasurable to shop there anymore. One huge safety concern, the store is so overcrowded on Wednesdays and people push and everything is tight and constantly get trapped. And the place is extremely hot with the amount of people that come in. Wednesdays people come in load up the carts until they’re full and push people. Safety huge concern. Next like others have stated the store separates an area where they make items very expensive for a salvaged or returned item like $50-$150. And sadly, the last reason and the reason I chose to even leave a review is because they marked their food separate as what’s in the bins for their day price so food was marked higher than what you would find in stores with them obviously being beat up boxes or missing food items inside but selling them like theyre brand new; in my opinion, it’s unethical. I mean it’s food, at that point I believe they have a greed issue to be marking food full price that’s either been returned expired salvaged or opened with missing things. Ex: they had two lucky charms boxes taped together selling for $8 (that’s $4 for a beat up cereal box), they had Costco Kirkland apple sauce for $12 with missing pouches and Costco themselves wells a full box for $10.99…. And lastly, I have been overcharged now 2 times (both times on their $2 day so $2 extra each time) . The first time I let it go and the second time I watched as they counted and added an extra number to their count but didn’t have it in me to say anything so...
Read moreGreat place to window shop or find treasures in the bins. Definitely worth going when you have time and patience. The first time I went in Jun’23 I found polarized sunglasses for my dog. The straps securely attach around my dogs face and he is not able to remove it. Moe and the staff are very friendly. The staff keep the bins organized when they can.
I recently went all in one week Tuesday $4: aqua blue 2023/2024 agenda book, soil/light/moisture tester, Trideer Medicine ball and Trideer Pilates core ring training.
Wednesday $2 for Banz Earmuffs, Montessori learning blocks, Olivia G. ion heat brush Nt-24, 16 qty graphic designed Halloween cloth bags, and over-the-door 18 cap rack. Very shocked to have found such great steals. Some items from Tuesday that I put back and gambled I would find on Wednesday was gone. Hence I didn’t come early on Wednesday morning to grab it. Highly recommend to go early.
I did go on restocking day Friday $12 and found 18 cooling towels in individual pouches and dring in a bag considered 1 item, pirate accessories considered 1 item in a box: hat, telescope with pouch and cloth, compass, and eyepatch. Perfect for my annual pirate theme Halloween decor, Auroth tactical dog harness rated 2 out of top 5. My dog loves it and it has many features. And a Forest Pilot adjustable walking stick. Good for trails and hikes; and I have been looking for this item and the price.
I was able to be included to be in a daily raffle and I won an Apple Pencil!!! Very appreciated for going on and buying items on $12 day. You can say I got my money back. Happy...
