5 Stars for Service! Had the Lox Benedict; Hollandaise was from a package. Poached Eggs were RAW & Not Poached Properly at all... They need more time to cook properly! Seriously Raw... Which was a shame... Coffee tasted funny! The Smoked Salmon was good but I understood ordering that its bought in and not house made(most is) Their GF French Toast was the driest French Toast I've ever had in my life. My wife orders this everywhere she goes! They Upcharged $2 for one Strawberry! Uncharged $2 for 2 tablespoons of Pecans! Upcharged $2 for one Banana(Banana wasn't even ripe) I dont like to dismiss local establishments but $43 for two breakfasts at this level of quality is shameful! For $43 I could have made breakfast for 20 People, quite literally! The issue is with the kitchen staff. On their phones! Leaning on their stations & then cooking your food? Do they bring their phones into the bathroom? Do they Wash & Sanitize their phones? Do they Wash hands and then touch their phone & then cook your breakfast??? These are honest questions! For an open window kitchen I will always look to see the level of professionalism & cleanliness! They failed for using their phones on the line & cooking mediocre breakfast, sold at High Quality Breakfast Prices! Better Breakfast elsewhere for a fair price with higher quality food! I'm sorry Trail Café & Grill but you're over priced for what you are offering. May need to train your kitchen staff! Just one Chefs opinion. Try them & make up your own mind. We've been coming to Trail Cafe for many years. One of my friends purchased a $100.00 gift certificate for me when it was a previous owner of the restaurant. We had used some of the gift certificate and still had $36.00 left as a credit. I took my 87 year old mother with me for breakfast and we were denied using the balance of our gift certificate. Even when a new owner purchases a company, all the accounting of the gift cards should have been accounted for. We had the gift certificate that showed it was for the Trail Cafe. Trail Cafe , North Naples. Great location. Easy in /out. Ample parking. Inside, the space is clean open. Seating is too close. Awkward close. The set of tables which we sat at, you’re bumping into a customer. Why cluster customers beside each other when 80% of the seating is available? Could have requested another seat…Menu options fairly straightforward.
