I frequent the tropical smoothie in celebration, fl but my boyfriend lives in Jacksonville so I was super excited when I saw that there was one by his house. We parked in front of the building. There we a lot of cars but no one in the store so I figured we'd get quick and easy help. I was wrong, there was no one at the counter when I walked in but I girl with a red shirt walked out rolling her eyes. I brushed it off figuring she was rolling her eyes at the other employee in the back I could hear her talking to. She said "hi what can I get you" I was still looking and I said hold on one second. Again, she rolled her eyes. I don't know what I did to annoy her but I just kept looking and decided on a chocolate peanut butter banana smoothie. Mind you it took me not even a minute to decide. She then asked but a question but I couldn't hear her so I asked her what she said. She sighed and replied "name for the order?" Considering I was the only person in there I was confused but gave it anyway.
A couple months later I had received a few coupons for tropical smoothie. I planned to take them with me but ended up spilling something all over them. I called the tropical smoothie in celebration asking if it was okay to use them if I took a picture they said that they would honor it because of my situation. Well I was headed to Jacksonville that day so I hoped that the store there would honor the coupon if I explained the situation. I realize that this could look wrong so I went in expecting maybe a little bit of reluctancy. I walked in and there was a group of three people sitting down waiting for their food. I walked to the girl at the register and explained the situation hopping that I could use the coupon there. She said "no, we're not allowed to do that" I told her about the other store that said it wasn't a problem. She was speaking loud enough for the group next to me to hear.. I felt embarrassed and like I was begging for something. I decided not to even try to get into it further at the risk of being made out like a freeloader. Granted, I get these coupons almost every month why on earth would I try to use the same one more than once? I could just grab another coupon or wait till next month for the same one. Seems like a haste to turn away a customer because they would have spent 7$...
Read moreI just had the worst experience at this location! I have never EVER been treated so badly. I placed a mobile order for a green smoothie at this location so I could pick it up before work. I gave my name to the woman at the counter and she went to look for my order. She couldnât find it. Then she started getting frustrated at me, asking âdid you order it at the right location?â âIs it under a different name?â She was getting super rude, but I told her I ordered at the right location and itâs under my name. I even showed her my confirmation that clearly said my name and todayâs date- all the info! She then said something about the power going out and they never got my order? I can understand that. But instead of making my smoothie or helping me she said if I want the smoothie, I would have to pay for it. I then tried showing her the transaction history on my navy federal app that clearly showed I paid for it, but she refused to listen to me or look at my phone. Instead of helping me, she yelled at me saying thereâs nothing she can do about it and I would have to pay for it again! I felt so embarrassed and I didnât even do anything! All I did was order a smoothie! But instead I got yelled at, belittled and didnât even get the smoothie I paid for!! She just flat out refused to fix the situation, I just had to walk away before it turned into a crazy argument over a damn smoothie! Everyone has bad days but that whole ordeal was so uncalled for. She could have just made me the smoothie I paid for, but instead she chose to ignore and ridicule me! I will never ever go back there again, which sucks because I loved tropical smoothie before this happened. Iâm just so...
Read moreYesterday, at the Fleming Island location I ordered a quesadilla and smoothie and gave a 20% tip. They brought me my food, I drove home 15 minutes and found that they gave me the wrong order. I drove back 15 minutes, walk in, the guy who gave me my order instantly walks around and is handing me a bag. I said, "is this my quesadilla?", he says, "...yep" and turns around and walks to the back. I totally understand that accidents happen, but just the slightest bit of courtesy was all that was needed. Just a hint of, "Hey, sorry about that". I now have a 30 minute old cold quesadilla and will be home after 45 minutes of driving because of your mistake, and not a single apology, just a "yep" and turn around and walk away. I'm very friendly and never complain, but this really turned me off. I know our masks cover our faces and this employee couldn't see that I was giving a friendly smile when I asked if it was my quesadilla, but my smile turned to annoyance really quick with the rude attitude I was given. I'm not sure I will...
