Waffle House — Restaurant in Florida

If there were a zero star, I would have choose it. My boyfriend, myself, & a friend were going to eat this evening around 8:15-8:30 & it was evidently just before shift change. When we were going to sit at a table the waitress (found out her name is Mary) very rudely said "we are only doing take out!" WHAT!? When did waffle house become take out only!!! She & the cook were doing absolutely nothing!!! & No one was in there so makes me wonder how many others were told this! We left & as we were leaving, Mary & the cook (found out his name is Andrew) fist bumped each other... Yes, we saw it through the window! We eat here a lot but normally for breakfast. After we went to Wendy's to eat, we stopped back to get a Manager's name & Mary, not only did she argue, she was very rude giving me the Manager's name of Kathy & showed me a sign on the window where we send complaints. We were told this has happened before by another employee. Then Dori, who was very nice came out & said she spoke with the GM & asked us to come in & eat....

I walked into the restaurant and placed to go order. I’m very disappointed. Ordered triple scramble cheese with smothered, covered, diced hashbrowns, and bacon, and buttered toast, and what I received were regular eggs with EGGSHELLS regular PLAIN hashbrowns, with none of the items I paid for, and about eight slices of overcooked bacon that looks like they need to clean the grill since the bacon had burnt crumbs on them from prior food.

I tried to call to speak to a manager, but they don’t even answer their phone call.

I'm out of breakfast and funds. I was already 30 minutes down the road so I couldn’t turn around to go get either a refund or replacement.

Also found the eggs to be undercooked. Zoom into the picture. Undercooked food can make someone very sick and can be deadly.

Management needs to speak to the employees and make sure they’re doing their job correctly, someone’s life depends on it.

We recently stopped while traveling and had a great experience. The cook had been there many years and his skills showed because it was excellent. All Star special with Blueberry waffle, perfect. Our waitress was extremely nice, very attentive to our requests. It was busy that day but the tension from the place was the manager in black. He loudly stated to our server her hair was out of compliance. The whole store turned and looked and was like her hair looked professional and tucked in her cap. Seemed extremely nit-picking and embarrassing for her. We left a big tip for putting up with borderline workplace harassment. Shame on that manager. Also, he kept stating something about he cooked and served a table and that was his money, call corporate because that's his money. Glad he didn't get any money from my table. His demeanor is harsh and oblivious to CSR or sensitivity training though excels at being a jerk. We plan to stop as we travel back through area because that coffee is always...
