I am visiting Tampa for work and have made this Wawa my second home! Food is delicious for what you would think was just a gas station. Having fresh, made to order food accessible for a 3rd shift worker like myself is great. Overall, I've had no issues with this location with the exception of today. This after noon after an 11 hour shift, I decided to stop and place an online order for a sandwich and a frozen drink and I was delighted to see that the app allows for payment upon pick up, in case there are other items you need. That was perfect as there were a couple of rooms things that I needed. I came inside ahead of the time given and waited. After waiting and seeing food leave out of customers after me and orders being brought to the online pick shelf I mentioned my name to the older woman who was bringing the orders. Apparently, the food is prepared and moved to a random location near the registers because it hasn't been paid for. The woman wouldn't even let me carry the bag with the rest of my items, as she explained how people would steal the unpaid for orders. I was looking for a contact less experience and this was far from that. And to feel like I was attempting to steal as sandwich, is enough to make me never go to this location again. If the theft of a $10 meal is a problem, then either don't have the option to order and pay in store or atleast give proper instructions when ordering that your order may be under security with a cashier and to not stand around waiting for your order at the kitchen counter. It's simply not an efficient system when only the employees know how it works and it a waste of time for customers. Read moreI want to take the time out to acknowledge Dalton at this location, I had a issue a while ago with my order that was placed online and was credited with a remake whenever I was in the area again, I went to gather my correct order and the manager ALICIA was a NOT SO great AND VERY RUDE! Telling me she couldn’t help me even though I provided proof and my name then she proceeded to tell me to call corporate because she doesn’t have time to deal with my issue! Well…. I called the very next day to speak to Shelly and Dalton answered and promptly corrected the issue and handled the situation with professionalism and integrity he is what makes customer service and customer care worth it for Wawa keep him and cut loose the dead ends they weigh down companies, but in my honest opinion if I could have Daltons in my company I would and just wanted to give him the acknowledgement that he deserves. Read moreWaited patiently for over 20 minutes for my food to be prepared. Once I got tired of waiting since there were people getting their food left and right I asked where's my order. They had not made it knew exactly what I had ordered but they forgot I finally got my food after 30 minutes of waiting. But they forgot my sour cream, and instead of grabbing me fresh sour cream I was handed sour cream that I watched be placed on the counter for over 15 minutes it was warm when I got it sour cream should be cold. Not to mention the quesadilla I ordered was so soppy and wet, so many things wrong with the service here at this Wawa I will order food from a Wawa ever again I may never even go to a Wawa ever again. The people who work there care more about mopping the floor during a rich then actually tending to customers.
