One sure fire way to catch my attention is for a place to always be busy when I drive by. This Mexican food truck always seems to have a crowd at lunch time so when the wifey and I were deciding on our next meal Los Comparres came to mind. A quick drive from the house put us on site just as they opened at 11am. Our order was large since we planned for two meals each. The wife chose a taco trio for lunch. Chicken, Al Pastor and Shrimp with all the fixins' they include. She liked all 3 equally, her highlight was the fresh cilantro on each. For dinner she chose the Chicken Quesadilla which was also to her liking. I ordered her the XL size and it was massive, enough for 3 meals. For myself, I ordered 2 Burritos, Al Pastor and the Campechano and a large cup of Shrimp and Octopus Ceviche. Al Pastor is their marinated pork and that was my favorite. I got it with everything and it was loaded! I like a burrito that includes guac and sour cream with everything else. It was a tad smaller than what I expect but filled me nonetheless. I did have to pick tiny chunks of bone from my mouth however. The Campechano was a 3 meat blend and again I got all the fixin's. I did not like this one as much as the first  not something I will reorder. I am looking forward to trying a couple others. My ceviche, which is available in 4 sizes, was tomato based and while it had a many of the traditional flavors it was not to my liking, the prevelant flavor to me was ketchup. The octopus was non-existant but the shrimp were very plump and juicy. It was the overbearing ketchup flavor that spoiled it for me. I tried their red and green hot sauces, they were not to hot, very manageable. My favorite was the red that was chipotle based. All in all a positive experience. I will be returning to try other things, I see this place becoming a monthly trend for me. Cost is reasonable and it's a quick easy option. The folks were friendly, the food was good and the service was fast.

We are new to the area and well traveled but just came from a town with few good food options. After coming here twice in the past two weeks, I think we love it because we live a good 1/2 hour + away:). No frills taco truck next to a gas station...my kind of spot. We came for the tacos but I sampled the ceviche and it was delicious. The smallest size portion was a bit much for me to purchase but I definitely plan to get some in the future. I had the pastor tacos Mexican style (onions and cilantro) and my husband had the steak U.S. style (sour cream, lettuce, cheese). Tender meat and my pastor was so flavorful. Caution--I love some heat on my food but their salsas are pretty spicy. Good but don't just load it on your food before trying. Start with the mild.

Los Comparres Mexican Food truck has disturbingly dirty, chairs, tables, floors, and takes way to long to serve food. If you take a look around at how filthy the place is, you'll probably lose your appetite. It's located in a really sketchy part of town. I called ahead and placed my order because I heard it can take over a half hour and even with calling ahead I had to wait over 10min in a really sketchy area with mosquitoes biting me. If I didn't already pay and wasn't already very hungry I would've left. They give you a lot of food for the money and it's cheap with a Groupon but I have to question the cleanliness and safety of the place.

Go to Loli's on Benjamin- rated the best tacos in the nation AND they have great customer service. Los Comparres has HORRIBLE RUDE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. Don't buy the living social- they won't redeem your voucher. I purchased their living social deal, I called to redeem, the owner screamed that he never started a living social and that I am going to have to figure it out. This is the problem with small businesses, they don't treat the customers that helped get them where they are with any gratitude. I have been going here since they opened and no one would buy from them. I purchased so frequently that they were on my speed dial. Back then they treated customers with kindness and respect. Now the owner literally screamed at me and was so exceptionally rude about something that was completely out of my control. He claims he has never heard of living social and doesn't know how his business got on there. Honestly that's not what made me so angry, what really bothered me is the way he yelled at me like a dog. Never going...
