Beware: check your bill!!
Been here a few times during lunch hours recently and plenty of times b4 Covid or ordered on UberEats. I’m partly to blame as I never checked the bill before and just always handed off my card at the end of the meal. Idk how many times I must have been overcharged. Very frustrating as now we don’t have a local pizza/pasta spot in the area to go anymore.
We were given lunch menus and told the regular menu could be found by scanning the QR code. Didn’t check the QR code since we were getting lunch items and had a physical menu. Got the bill and checked it for the first time and every lunch special aside from the slice special was more expensive than on the menu by $1-$1.50. I asked our server about it and she said very nonchalantly and unsympathetically that the regular menu had the updated prices and the lunch specials went up in price and the menus weren’t changed. They only went up a dollar or so was the following response. I’m not angry in general or angry specifically with her, just describing what happened and what was said.
In my mind, I’m thinking, price changing is understandable but none of this was communicated. And in general (not specifically aimed at this restaurant as I’ve seen this elsewhere)I really feel like businesses have to stop using the pandemic as an excuse for sketchy business practices. It even would have been more understandable had the restaurant been busy and changes were made recently, but we were the only table and I have a feeling these changes weren’t done overnight.
I’m sad to think I’ve been paying more without my knowledge for idk how long. This should have been communicated with the customer. Idk how many times I’ve been in by myself, with my niece and nephew, with family, or with friends and not known these changes were made charged more than what I expected to pay. Read moreI've lived in this area since this restaurant opened (10+ years). It's always been our favorite local pizza place. This week when I visited, I declared I would never give my business to them again. I attended a fundraiser night and placed an online order at 5:25pm due to the fact that I couldn't get thru on the phone lines. I should have known this was a sign. My children and I went to pick up the order about 30 minutes later...I knew they were probably busy due to the fact that this was a fundraising night for the middle school. Line was out the door when we arrived. We stood for 10 mins without any direction from anyone behind the counter. Even after many suggestions from customers that there should have been 2 separate lines (one for placing orders, one for picking up), nothing was done. We waited and waited. The poor gal at the front counter was doing her best, but in tears most of the evening due to no management support! We finally got to the counter and I was given half of our order (Kids meal and Knots), but we were still waiting on the cheese pizza. It was 6:45 before they acknowledged me again to see what I was waiting for. I wasn't alone...some poor people had walked in and placed counter orders close to 5pm and were still waiting on their pizza (almost 2 hours later)! Terrible, terrible management. The food was disgusting. So sad to see a local favorite decline so rapidly. I removed their number from my phone and tossed out the menu. I will let everyone know the countless experiences we've had (as a member of a local school PTA we used them for a fall festival and that was a terrible experience as well) and will steer clear...

I used to be a customer and on more than one occasion I purchased in store orders and got home and discovered the food was not as ordered and not very good, so I stopped ordering from there. Recently, I was taken very ill and am in a wheel chair and not able to go out so I decided to give another try and placed another order only this time for delivery... I ordered and paid for stromboli with extra steak and fries. Well I received hardly any steak and enough extra cheese to choke a horse and the fries were hard so I Could not eat the meal. I contacted the place and made a complaint and was contacted by someone who said he was the owner and after discussing the matter he agreed to put a credit in the system for next time. So I called today first to find out that the person taking the order said he did not see the credit but would honor the request anyway. A few minutes later I received a call from him indicating that the manager told him that the credit was for only $6.00 for the cost of the steak not the 28.00 which I spent. I have informed all of my friends and family who often order and eat at this restaurant of my ordeal and they have decided as well not to deal with these people anymore because some of them have experienced similar problems. i called Westshore Pizza and ordered the same thing and explained to them my problem with Westchase. They apologized for my trouble and proceeded to make me the very best Cheese Steak Stromboli I have every had. THUMBS DOWN ON THIS PLACE, If you are thinking about trying it....
